¡Holy frijoles!

In this day and age, if someone wants a modern, luxury car, there is a pretty good chance they might opt for a Tesla. Although electric cars are exciting for many reasons, they will always have something missing because the visceral sound and feel of a traditional car is what any enthusiast longs for. And there is no better example of how much joy a traditional car can give you, as our car of the month for March — the Jaguar F-Type!

Kent’s Jaguar F-Type, Millbrae, CA

If you are an enthusiast and haven’t yet driven an F-Type, there are simply no words that will do justice. The sheer variety of sounds this car can make, or the way it looks, or how it twitches at speed, or the way the start/stop button pulsates (apparently, like a resting Jaguar) will only make you feel more alive. Put another way, if driving a Model S is the equivalent of flying business class in a modern airplane, driving an F-Type is the equivalent of jumping out of that airplane — it’s simply more exciting.

The F-type isn’t really sophisticated by modern, sports car standards — it has an engine in the front and no dual-clutch gearbox. And then there’s the price. But there aren’t a lot of cars that can make you as happy over a weekend trip and fortunately, Turo is here to help.
