Teetering on the brink of burnout and in desperate need of a little adventure, professional photographer and Turo traveler Dylan H. grabbed his buddy Drew and Tracy’s Nissan NV200 camper van and headed south from Portland, Oregon to California. Granted, he had two shoots to field while he was down there, but he might as well make a bit of an adventure of his work trip.
They made their way down through southern Oregon and Weed, CA, where they couldn’t resist the lure of the Hi-Lo Cafe, a small roadside diner.
They worked all the way down to Yosemite, arriving at sunrise. Drew — his first time to the fabled national park — was “freaking out” over the vivid sunrise and striking scenery.
They continued on to Dylan’s clients’ wedding for his job, finding some good light in the light rainfall.
They trekked back up north to Reno en route to Lake Tahoe for the next shoot, hitting the casinos, hunting hot springs, and even visiting a nudist camp in their downtime.
