We’re deeply saddened by the wildfires that have devastated Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. In recent days, we’ve heard from people who have lost their homes and vehicles, a sense of security, and so much more in the face of this unimaginable disaster.
To support the Los Angeles community, we’re setting out to help those impacted with their most urgent need — food — as well as access to vehicles while they start to rebuild.
Turo will donate $50,000 to World Central Kitchen
World Central Kitchen is a trusted nonprofit that to date has mobilized to 50 locations across Los Angeles. They’ve distributed over 180,000 free meals to first responders and impacted families, ensuring that those on the front lines and those displaced by the wildfires receive essential and immediate support.
In addition to the $50,000 committed by Turo, we’re inviting our employees and our community to contribute whatever they’re able to World Central Kitchen. If you’d like to join us, you can make a donation below.
Providing vehicle access to those in need
We’re also providing $100 off Turo bookings to Los Angeles residents as they begin the process of rebuilding. Whether they need to gather essentials or reconnect with loved ones, they’ll have easier access to a vehicle on the road to recovery.
Our hearts are with Los Angeles. While there is no amount that can replace what people have lost, our hope is that as we come together as a broader community, every contribution helps rebuild lives, restore hope, and remind those affected that they’re not alone.
