As the excitement of the 2016 NBA playoff season is in full gear, it’s clear that the Golden State Warriors are having one heck of a season — despite a couple recent heartbreakers. With Turo HQ in SF, a fair slice of the company are diehard Dubs fans. So since tonight’s game against the OKC Thunder in the Western Conference Final Round is do or die (and they’re gonna DO), we thought we’d put our best juju out in anticipation of tonight’s Big Game.

First, a look back.

A season of Curry Flurries

Ending their spectacular regular season at #1 in the West with a 73-9 record, this team’s work ethic, talent, and perseverance is simply undeniable.

The Warriors are on fire, and by far the most entertaining bball team in the NBA right now. Dubs fans are so stoked on the season, Oracle arena in Oakland has been dubbed the “Roaracle”,  and the Splash Brothers (Steph Curry and Klay Thompson) love putting on a dazzling show for Dub Nation. Now with plans set for the new Chase Center to be built in the Mission Bay area of San Francisco, our Golden State Warriors are heading home: back over the Bay Bridge to the “The City.”

Warriors + cars

To make this post tangentially relevant to Turo, we decided to delve into the players’ relationships to cars. Some have a stronger affinity than others, but everyone needs to get somewhere somehow.

ANDREW BOGUT

Starting center Andrew Bogut is a lifelong grease monkey. The son of a mechanic (“my dad had a lot of hot cars and cars that were souped up”), the massive Australian has owned as many as 35 cars (as reported by Yahoo! Sports) and he has a soft spot specifically for classics. A classic muscle car restoring hobbyist, he braves the hard work involved in their upkeep for the love of the game. “Older cars have their own soul,” he told Yahoo!’s Marc J. Spears, and we couldn’t agree more.

DRAYMOND GREEN

Fourth-year forward Draymond Green is a green machine. He partnered with BMW during the 2016 season to “investigate better ways to incorporate green initiatives and technology” into people’s everyday lives. He was also in the spotlight for pushing his Bimmer a little too hard and fast, but he’s since apologized.

HARRISON BARNES

A young gun at just 23, small forward Harrison Barnes only got his license a few years ago. Regardless, he’s already starred in GMC commercial, which, according to Reddit, didn’t expressly mention the Warriors or the NBA for competing sponsorship reasons.

STEPH CURRY

Point guard, MVP, and all around Golden Boy Steph Curry reportedly has Mercedes G-Wagon. You can rent one and be as rad as Steph, maybe this one, this one, or this one.

GO DUBS!
