Take a break with these pretty pictures
Every few Fridays, we like to bring you moments of zen in the form of some of our favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. Let’s keep the fun going. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.
The Toyota Sequoia is a longtime favorite for families in need of a three-row SUV with lots of space. Toyota has replaced the outgoing, decade-old version with a new generation for 2023, adding much-needed modernization and improvements. Omer’s 2023 Sequoia shares underpinnings with its Toyota siblings Tundra and Land Cruiser, so it maintains the truck-like sturdiness and immense size the Sequoia has always offered. But this update brings a decidedly more refined interior with Toyota’s latest safety equipment, a 14-inch touchscreen, and a bevy of leather, wood, and chrome materials available for different trim levels.

This Sequoia is in the Capstone trim, the most luxurious option for the model, which offers striking two-tone leather upholstery, wood accents, and heated and ventilated seats in both the first and second rows. A 437-horsepower twin-turbo V6 comes standard and manages 20 mpg combined, a very respectable figure for a giant eight-person SUV and a big improvement from 15 mpg in the outgoing generation, which was nearly the worst amongst competing models.

While the top-of-the-line TRD Pro version offers seriously rugged equipment like a locking differential, 33-inch tires, and skid plates, Omer’s Sequoia Capstone is representative of the more refined approach in the new Sequoia. And for most folks needing to book a large SUV for road trips with their family or group of friends, this is one of the freshest options out there.
