Stave off boredom with these pretty pictures
Bored in the house? Teaching your pup new tricks can only fill so much time, so we’re bringing you a moment of zen each week in the form of some of our most favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.
The Audi R8 was first released in 2006, making it a geriatric by supercar standards. But it’s been updated through the years and this current version is styled with crisper, harder lines and the latest excellent interior gadgets from Audi. Compared to its peers, some think the R8 is perhaps a bit subdued — Joschka’s 2019 R8 Spyder here pumps 570 horsepower from its V10 engine (many of the newest supercars break 700) and the Quattro AWD system works hard to keep the tires gripping the road without fuss.
It’s still a deeply talented sports car and a head-turner around town, but the Audi R8 has always been relatively low-drama for its level of performance. And in its old age it feels even more like the refined elder statesman of its class.
