Many well-known actors, musicians, and other celebrities are car fans or collectors on some level. Fancy cars fit in perfectly with the mansions, high fashion, and yachts of the Hollywood lifestyle. There are some celebs however, who’d be riding by in flashy cars, no matter what. Take a look to see what these true, dyed in the wool auto lovers are driving.

Frankie Muniz

Car enthusiasts and fans of Malcolm in the Middle might have already had a sneaking suspicion that Muniz is a car lover just from references in the show. In particular, the episode where he desperately tries to save a wayward rust-bucket of a Mustang. You might still be surprised to know after the show he became a professional driver, racing in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, BMW Formula series, and Champ Car Atlantic series.

Patrick Dempsey

Another actor turned race car driver, Dempsey maintains a full racing schedule, competes in various series, and even owns his own racing franchise, Dempsey Racing. He’s occasionally hinted at a desire to leave acting behind and focus on racing as his sole pursuit.

Paul Walker

This should come as no surprise, given that his most successful acting roles were in the Fast and Furious franchise, but just how much of a car guy he was could be surprising. He was known to have a particular affection for 1990s imports, owning not one, but two of the highly desirable 1995 BMW M3 LTW editions. He also owned a Nissan R34 Skyline and a Toyota Supra, both of which were immortalized by his films.

Nicholas Cage

With films like Gone in 60 Seconds, Drive Angry, and Ghost Rider, Cage wears his love for cars on his sleeve. And much like the ex-con man he portrays in Gone in 60 Seconds, Cage is a true connoisseur. He has been spotted in legendary classics like the Jaguar D-Type, Ferrari California 250 Spyder, and Lamborghini Muira.

Ellen Degeneres

It’s no secret that Ellen loves Portia. She also loves cars that wear nearly the same name. She has been spotted around town in a variety of Porsche 911s, ranging from the neo-classic 993 — the last air-cooled model, produced in the 1990s — to the latest models that just rolled out of Stuttgart.

Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry now openly discusses his affection for nearly everything with wheels as part of his online talk show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, but he used to be relatively secretive about it. While Seinfeld was airing, the only clues to the casual observer about his favorite hobby were some Porsche decorations scattered around his apartment set, or the somewhat unusual Saabs his character would drive in the show. He is still fairly private about his personal collection, but is rumored to have one of the largest private Porsche collections.
