The ParkPlayce 2023 Mercedes makes a statement all its own as the only 2023 or newer Mercedes Passenger van available for rent in any of the 7 cities of Hampton Roads. We call her Betsy and she’ll provide You and your passengers twelve seating options with ample space for luggage as you relax while elegantly making your way to your destination. It’s loaded with so many extras, the joy of your journey just might even surpass the joys of the destination. Your passengers will relax, recline and stretch there legs while you set the adaptive cruise control and adjust your lumbar support. The power sliding door, automatic step and 6’4” interior clearance make entry a breeze. There’s no need to get out after buckling in the babies, just step right into the drivers seat and let the journey begin. She’ll get over 22mpg while the 10 speaker sound system candifies your ears and the TV zones out your kiddos. It’s a big van but parking is a breeze because she drives small with an excellent turning radius and 360 degree top down parking assist. This is perhaps the most perfect road-trip vehicle ever built but I dunno, you tell me. Please note: This vehicle can only accommodate up to 9 passengers and a driver according to the TURO Terms of Service. Anything more than that, guests will be responsible for any damages in the event of an incident. This is a TURO regulation that applies to all vehicles in the Turo Application. For airport deliveries, the guest will cover the parking fees accrued during delivery and I will cover parking fees accrued during the return. You will be granted access to the van through the Turo app with a feature called Turo Go that enables you to unlock it with your phone. ParkPlayce vehicles are fitted with an E-ZPass Flex Transpnder. You’ll get an invoice a few days after your trip ends. Transponder name is Betsy and the number is 01006304993.

How tall is Mercedes?
She’ stands a little under 10’ tall but the rooftop AC is really expensive to replace so I think it’s best not to try any entrances with anything less for clearance. You’ll rarely find a parking garage capable of accepting her grandness and almost every drive-thru is a no go.
What type of fuel does Mercedes consume?
She is a diesel powered van. You shouldn’t have to worry about the DEF fluid unless you’re in this for the long haul but the fuel door is accessible when the drivers door is open.
Does Mercedes take voice commands.
Actually, yes she does. However, she tends to be quite demanding about how you get her attention. You can’t just say “hey” and think you’ll get her attention. Saying “Mercedes” isn’t enough either. You’ll have to say “Hey Mercedes” in its entirety for her to come up from her nap and try to help you.
Can Mercedes charge my phone?
You’ll need to have a new IPhone or a recent Android for the wireless charging station located in the middle dash compartment to charge your phone but she has those new style plugs all over her purdy self. What are called? Not just USB but…USB-C, that’s it. Some people call it a micro USB port. Anyway, Mercedes has them all over the place.
Where can I find the TURO GO key pouch?
If you look to the dash (not down there, up top) you’ll see that Mercedes has 3 dash compartments. The key is in the passenger side. Please put it back when you’re done.
I lost the key to Mercedes! How am I going to get all these kids back to VA?
No worries! Just give me a call, I’ll unlock her from my phone and I’ve got ways to get you home.
How do I get Mercedes out of park?
There is a tab type button beside the headlight switch near your left knee. It’s got a ‘P’ on it. You’re going to have to pull that tab out if you park Mercedes on a hill and force her to automatically apply her park brake. This automatic function is really sensitive so you might be pulling that tab often. For normal operations with the shifter on the steering column, down is drive, up is reverse and the button is park.

From booking to drop-off, the experience was smooth. The pickup location felt safe. Rickey was an amazing host — responsive & helpful whenever we had questions about Betsy while we were on the road ( even when we had to call early morning about an oops on our end :D ). Betsy was a smooth ride throughout our 1,500+ miles trip. Betsy was also the perfect size for our party of 8, which included 3 little ones, their car seats, & all the things a parent must bring to keep them entertained. I recommend booking Betsy/with Rickey for any group looking for a seamless & reliable rental experience!

The van was wonderful, spacious and drove excellent. It handles wonderfully just like an SUV even though it’s longer. Great on gas mileage. The most wonderful experience I’ve ever had renting a vehicle. Owner thought of everything including a nice little care package for the ride.
