For DFW Airport customers you can catch the train from the station at terminal B and in 23 minutes be at the car for a $2.50 train fare. The Chevy Express passenger van isn't a luxury ride or fancy in any way. It has tons of space for people and luggage or cargo of any type. This was originally a 12 person van but we removed 2 seats in the back to comply with Turo's rules. Removing those seats makes extra cargo space. This vehicle is in good condition. It's been well maintained, the tires and brakes are in great shape, the front and rear AC work as they should and it's got tons of power from the Chevy V8. It does have some dents and dings. There is some wear and tear and it shows that it is 10 years old. Only a quick 15 minute Uber from the airport!! Easy pick up and go. We keep this Van clean and SANITIZED. When choosing a vehicle some things you might want to consider. We are an All Star - Power host with Turo. It means that we have done enough trips providing a level of service required to be recognized. You will almost never see a note that we cancel trips. One reason is with multiple vehicles we are often able to offer an alternative when a smaller host might leave you hanging. We take this business seriously having made a significant investment. We have developed the processes necessary to provide a professional level of service and continue to work on improving those all of the time. We are small enough that every rental still matters to us. We have a local mechanic that we partner with to keep our vehicles in excellent shape. This isn't to say that you will never have a problem with us as your host only that if there is a problem we will do everything we can to see that you get taken care of and we might have options a smaller host wouldn't. We do our best to offer as much flexibility as possible. Pickup late without worrying about us canceling your trip. 👮♂️ Pickup of the car requires you show a valid ID for in person pickups or to upload a clear photo of your ID and a selfie of you holding the ID to the trip photos. 🐶 I am an animal lover but not when it comes to my car, so please keep your furry friends at home. 🚭 Absolutely no smoking or drugs. 🏎 Please return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel it was delivered to you with. Otherwise, an additional convenience charge will be added on top of the fuel cost 👮♀️ Tickets and Tolls will be reimbursed through the Turo app, according to Turo's policy guidelines. ⏰ Please be on time. If you would like to change the duration of your trip, I will try my best to accommodate you BEFORE your trip ends. Turo charges a fee if you are more than 30 minutes late so please communicate with me beforehand. 💦 I will try to ensure that the car is cleaned before each rental. Please respect the next renter by bringing it back clean. 🛣 I allow 200 miles per day on this rental. Will the car be disinfected?
Yes, the car will be disinfected as per Turo’s guidelines.
What if I don't know exactly when I will return or want to return after hours?
There is no problem with returning early or in the middle of the night even if the app says that return time isn't available (the key is we aren't available to process a check out for you to pickup during that time). The main thing is not being late as that could interrupt someone else's trip. If you realize you aren't going to make it back by your scheduled return time request a change in the app as soon as you are aware this is the case and if the app won't let you request an extension contact me so I will know the situation and try to work with you. Because of all of the fees its always cheaper to extend.
Do I need to gas up the van upon return?
Yes, so that it is ready for the next renter, unfortunately we have to charge for refilling if it is not returned as full as it was received. I try to make sure that the vehicle is always full to start your trip but things happen. If you don't get a full tank it will be documented in the pre trip pictures and you only have to refill to that level.
Do I need to wash the car upon return?
When returning, The car must be clean enough to show that there is no damage. Dirt and bugs are fine, you do not have to wash the car unless it’s covered in mud. We respectfully request that you leave the vehicle tidy and remove all trash.
How do tolls work? Do I have to pay for tolls?
Yes, as a renter you are responsible for all toll charges. At the end of each trip, I will go through and tally up all the toll charges and request reimbursement at the end of the trip.
Can I get more than 10 Seats?
Turo won't insure a van with more than 10 seats. Here is what the website says: Ineligible vehicles include, but aren’t limited to, motorcycles, limousines, box trucks, vans that seat more than eight, RVs, vehicles that require a commercial license, off-road vehicles You can find that here if you would like to read it yourself: https://help.turo.com/en_us/vehicles-we-accept-rylmrNl45 So in order to rent the van with additional seats you will need to personally provide insurance in case anything should happen.
