Please be mindful for the next guest and our property. Although we operate as a business, we're not a big box car rental company who plans to sell the car after certain miles. So we try to take good care of our cars! 🔆 It's very easy to turn off the car while leaving the headlights on. Please be mindful of that, or else the battery will drain! ⚙️ The transmission/gear selector is the handle on the right side of the steering wheel. ‼️ The emergency brake is a pedal on the far left. To release, there’s a hand pull handle right above it. 🎗️ As per Turo rules, the car must be returned in the same condition it was received, this includes interior and exterior. If there's a cleaning violation, you may be charged a cleaning fee for any severe cleaning, from causes including: 🦮 transporting a pet without approval 🐶 returning the car with a significant amount of animal hair or other pet byproduct 🗑 returning the car with a cleaning issue that could have only been caused by irresponsible or abusive behavior 🚧 You are responsible for any tolls, parking fees, tickets, and any other liabilities during the rental. The car is equipped with a toll tracker called Fastrak -- I will ask for reimbursement after the trip is done. ⛽️ Please return with full gas, or choose Pre-Paid Refueling as an Extra. Otherwise, refueling costs will be applied post-trip plus $10 convenience fee. 🛞 How to operate 4WD: The Ridgeline uses wheel slippage control logic. If the difference in rotational speed between front and rear wheels rises because of a slippery surface or poor traction at the front of the vehicle, that condition is detected by wheel-speed sensors which are monitored by VTM-4's ECU. In response, the ECU commands an increasing amount of torque for the rear wheels. Torque is proportional to both slip rate and the rate at which the slip rate is increasing. This operation is similar to conventional slip-based all-wheel-drive systems already on the market. Lock Mode The VTM-4 Lock mode can be activated only at speeds less than 18 mph in 1st, 2nd, or Reverse Gear positions. Note, when the transmission shift lever is placed in 2nd gear, it forces the vehicle into a 2nd gear start condition. This is only desirable on slippery surfaces such as ice or packed snow. To apply the maximum torque to the wheels for climbing a grade or to become un-stuck, you should always use the 1st gear position. Lugging the engine with the transmission in 2nd gear from a stop, may overheat the transmission and limit your ability to climb a steep hill or overcome a difficult traction condition. Thanks!

• Can it go into the snow, or make it up to Tahoe or Yosemite?

  Yes, the car has Honda Real-time AWD, which engages the four wheel drive automatically. If you're stuck in deep mud or snow, you can select VTM-4 to lock rear wheels to drive power to. But this only works in gear 1 or 2. If you plan to use snow chains, please only put it on the front drive wheels. If you put it up rear, it may cause damage to the suspension.

• What gas does it take?

  Regular octane gas!

• Can I bring a dog?

  Sure can! Just make sure to add the Extra, "Pet fee". Otherwise, fees may be applied.

• How do I connect Bluetooth?

  There’s a Bluetooth device called SB360, which is connected to the AUX port to the car. Just connect to the BT device and then you can stream directly to the car’s audio!
