▶ Tradesman (Contractor) Version with 8' 2" Bed ◀ This 2014 Ram 1500 Tradesman is the perfect truck for anyone who needs a reliable and capable vehicle to haul a lot of cargo. It's a recent purchase for convenience on my end. I got tired of relying on friends and family members who had trucks whenever I needed to haul something. So...I researched the maximum payload for the dollars, and found... this Ram 1500 Tradesman with a fresh coat of paint, a rugged bedliner, and all of the benefits of a contractor-grade truck! I have done a number of upgrades along the way. New wheels, a new bed cover, custom step rails, WeatherTech floor mats, and a new touchscreen stereo with bluetooth music and hands-free calling just to name a few. With its powerful 5.7L V8 Hemi engine and 8'2" bed, this truck can handle anything you throw at it. It is also perfect if you need to tow or haul heavy loads. With its Class IV receiver hitch, you can tow up to 7,400 pounds, and with its 8+ foot bed, you can haul up to 2,000 pounds. So whether you're moving furniture, building a deck, or hauling supplies for a job site, this truck has you covered. The seats are comfortable, and covered with heavy-duty moisture-resistant covers. Practical for anyone who is serious about getting work done. You also get to benefit from the tools and tie-down straps in the bins immediately behind the seats. (Just return it like you found it. I do keep inventory.) It's perfect for whatever you have planned. Book your reservation today!

You will pick up and return the vehicle in front of the Clubhouse at Villages of Devinshire condominiums. There is no need to go through the gates.
If you live in the ATL, you have seen the examples at Hartsfield-Jackson airport of forbidden items that you can't carry onto a commercial airline. Gas cans. Chainsaws. Machetes. Blowtorches. etc. You think..."Why would they even put that in there? Isn't that common sense?" Well, as a renter on Turo for a while, I can say that what what one person believes is "common sense" is not obvious to everyone. My expectations include (but are not limited to) the following: ★ Any driver of this vehicle MUST be registered as an authorized driver via Turo. Zero exceptions. ★ You break it, you buy it. Any insurance you buy from Turo covers your expenses, but not mine. If there is damage during your trip that does not include a mechanical failure that is unrelated to your usage of the vehicle you will reimburse the actual cost of the replacement (if appropriate) or reasonable price of repairs. ★ This is a full-size, contractor-grade truck. It is exceptionally forgiving to people who aren't accustomed to driving trucks, but nonetheless, it is a different experience than driving a smaller vehicle. Be careful. ★ Pets are fine, so long as you accept responsibility for any damage (including "normal wear and tear") that your mastiff, emu, or reticulated python incurs. ★ When you receive the vehicle, there will be an image taken of the dashboard (well, the entire vehicle, actually). We expect the vehicle to be returned within the width of the gas gauge needle of where you received it, or you will incur refilling charges. (Feel free to purchase the pre-paid fuel option.) ★ While we don't expect you to return it spotless, if the vehicle is dirty, please run it through a car wash at a minimum. If that's not convenient, we understand...just please expect a cleaning charge to apply to your rental after the fact.
How much will fit in the truck bed?
A lot. Consider that the "average" full size truck has a bed that is ~5.5 - 6 feet long. That means this 8 foot+ bed can hold over 30% more!
Can I haul mulch, dirt, gravel, manure, sod, or other such stuff?
Yep. I don't care what you haul as long as you adhere to the standards for a 2014 Ram 1500 and you return it in the same condition that it was in when it was issued. (Including the absence of manure smell.)
Can I carry an elephant in the back?
Well...not a normal elephant, as this is simply a quarter-ton truck with a very long bed. But if you want to haul a lot of stuff in one trip, this will be an amazing investment!

Excellent host. I've rented this truck several times already and would do it again. He goes the extra mile.
Booker
Scot is a great and patient host. I was running behind schedule to return the vehicle due to the usual ATL traffic, and he totally understood. The truck worked wonderful and it definitely got the job done!
