The ride is smooth and the small turbocharged engine gives you power when you need it and sips fuel in regular driving. You can get up to 28 mpg driving and still have the convenience of having a bed in the back to carry large items. Ford did a good job at making the Maverick a practical and useful pickup without making it large and unwieldy like other the full size pick ups that have gotten huge these days. Fun little truck to do Home improvement runs in or simply enjoy the city. There is a hard-cover currently installed on the bed to protect luggage or any items placed in the back. It is waterproof, puncture-proof and can be rolled up and out of the way.
