Description

A slightly rough around the edges truck. Perfect for packing beach gear and reliable transportation around the island. 🤙🏽 Low mileage, excellent mechanical condition, cold AC, touch screen entertainment. Plenty of room. Be sure to review vehicle guidelines. Turo has strict no off-pavement policy. Vehicle equipped with fleet gps tracker to ensure compliance. Its very dear to me... please take care of it. From our guests: “Super easy and no problems whatsoever! ... Everything went so smooth thanks to Kay's great communication.” “Car was great, Kay was even better. Great communication and supportive for my visit.” “Kay was great to work with. She answered all my questions promptly and offered good suggestions along the way. I highly recommend her and her sweet little car.” “Pick-up and drop-off easy as can be. Clear instructions and good communication from Kay. Thanks!” “Great communication from Kay. The car was clean and fueled on pickup, and everything worked. It was a great vehicle for the two of us and our beach gear….and good on gas. Thanks Kay!” “Kay was a joy to work with. Her vehicle was spotless and drove very well. I highly recommend her for any future trips to Molokai! 5 Stars!” *** Frequently asked questions: Where to eat? -We enjoy the Cookhouse in Kualapuu (cash only, a bit pricey but huge portions), Ono Fish and Shrimp (food truck next to the Molokai Fish and Dive) and Big Daddy's (quick Filipino plate lunch). Molokai Burger and Pizza cafe in town a good go-to spots. Also, Paddlers and Hiros at Hotel Molokai would be considered "upscale" and are the 2 bars on island. Where can we get fresh fish on the island? -You may come across local fishermen selling in town. Otherwise, check in with the Molokai Fish and Dive as they often have fresh fish in stock. Where can we get fresh produce? -Kumu farms near the airport or Sustainable Molokai ( sustainablemolokai.org ). What's the best way to snorkel on island? -Snorkeling from shore is doable but the best way to snorkel and scuba is with Molokai Fish and Dive. They have 25+ yrs of experience and go out almost daily. 8085535926 What do you recommend doing on island? -Molokai Hot Bread and Kalaupapa lookout 🤙🏽 -Scuba with sharks, turtles and manta rays🤙🏽🤙🏽 -Turn off your phone and relax 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 Is there any place we should not take your vehicle? -Turo has a SCTRICT no off-pavement policy. This means the dirt road to Make Horse, the forest reserve, Hale O Lono, Moomomi and any other dirt road are off limits. Should I drive down to Halawa valley? -The road to Halawa valley is paved the entire way and OK to drive on as long as it's not heavily raining. That being said, the road is very narrow at some points and very windy. If you are prone to motion sickness, you may be in for a long, unenjoyable ride. If you are at all not comfortable driving in windy, narrow conditions, we would not recommend this. Also, keep in mind that, although unlikely, a flat tire or tow out of Halawa Valley would be very inconvenient and costly. Please be extra sensitive to the locals if you do venture out east. This is their home and definitely nothing like Maui or Waikiki! For hiking, we recommend going to the falls with Greg ( halawavalleymolokai.com ) because you need to go through PRIVATE property to get there. What if I get a flat tire or low tire pressure light comes on? -Kiawe thorns puncturing tires are not uncommon. Please call or text to inform us and drive the vehicle to Bobo's or Mike at Izzi Auto in town. They should be able to help you out quickly for a few dollars. Obviously, do not drive the vehicle if the tire is flat(!)
