I live in a gated community, but can park the car on the neighboring street or out by the office in visitor parking for contactless pickup. The key fob will be left in the center console and I can remote unlock the car on arrival.

Can the R1T charge at Tesla Superchargers?
No. However, the R1T is equipped with the J1772 & CCS combo plug allowing you to charge at chargers such as Electrify America, EVGo, Volta, & ChargePoint to name a few. The vehicle’s navigation will also show you nearby chargers and automatically route you to chargers along your route and factor in charging time into your total trip time.
How fast can the R1T charge?
The R1T can charge at level 1, 2, & 3 chargers. Level 1: 110-120v plugs that use J1772 plug (standard home outlets) compatible with the vehicles included portable charger. Delivering up to 3 miles of range per hour. Level 2: 220-240V / destination chargers that use J1772 plug. You can plug the portable charger into a NEEMA 1450 socket or use the smaller chargers in public. Delivering up to 25 miles of range per hour. Level 3: 50kW-350kW fast charging that uses the J1772/CCS combo plug. This charging can deliver up to 140 miles of charge in 20 mins. ***the speed of any charging session can vary by site, time of use, & outside temperature***
Does Rivian have their own charging network?
Yes! Rivian is building out its Rivian Adventure Network and Rivian Waypoints sites. They plan to have around 3,500 chargers at over 600 sites by the end of 2023.
