Host was great at communicating and truck was perfect for the trip. Would rent again if back in Colorado

Truck was as advertised and ran great! Pick up location at the airport was truely an effortless process to pick up and turn back in. John is an amazing host and I would recommend dealing with them to anyone!

Great truck! I’ve been looking into getting a TRD for a while and this convinced me. Did great on my camping trip. Plenty of room for gear and drove great. The host was communicative and helpful.

Loved this Tacoma!!! Trusty steed for a solid adventure, will definitely get you from point a to point b.

The airport park lot was, aptly named, nice. Prompt shuttle pick up at the terminal, no issue finding the vehicle. The owner was responsive in messages.
The truck has almost 260k on it, so wear and tear is expected, but there are some fixable items that should be addressed on a vehicle this age.
The dashboard does not light up on the entire left side at night, so you won’t know coolant temps or RPM. Synchros on the transmission for 1st, 3rd and most notably reverse are near the end of their life and are difficult to engage or grind no matter how far the clutch is engaged - although the clutch itself does appear in reasonable condition. The floor mat partially obstructs clutch pedal throw, so I would remove it entirely. The rear cover doesn’t lock. The steering has a large dead zone indicative of worn universal joints in the steering shaft, making it relatively challenging to control over bumpy roads, especially at highway speeds. The windshield wipers are ineffective.
Discounting that the truck looks quite different than the photos - smashed front end, smaller tires/wheels, faded paint etc… I would say this is a 3 star vehicle at best.
I get that it’s supposed to have the “cool retro” factor, but that doesn’t mean it should also be neglected service.
