Overall it was amazing. The owner of the vehicle was easy to deal with. He responded right away to my questions. I picked up the vehicle without him there which was pretty simple. I appreciated the trust. It wasn’t my first time renting one. I enjoyed driving it around.
The only thing I wasn’t a fan of is having to charge the cybertruck. I sat for an hour while it charged. And even though I got it charged local to where I was, the drive back to charlotte which was around 50 minutes, and it drained the battery enough for me to still get charged by the owner for him having to charge it up again.
Secondly, it only charges to 80% so that kinda sucks.
Third, I got another fee from the owner because I charged it while the ac was running. I found a local parking lot that had tesla chargers. It was in the sun in a random parking lot. Kinda sketch. I sat in the car in the hot sun charging it for an hour and had to have the ac running cause I was sweating like crazy. And so the owner had gave me a fee for the cybertruck operating the ac while charging.
So a fee for that and fee for him having to fully charge it again when it only dropped around 10%-20% from bringing it straight to him after charging.
I’ve rented a cyber truck before in Florida and upon renting from that person they allow you to pay a little extra to cover any recharging that way you can drop it off with a low battery. Maybe the owner of the vehicle should think about including that. It was super helpful. Not only so I don’t get two dumb fees. But also so I don’t have to sit in a parking lot for an hour.
I asked him how much it would cost to return the vehicle with a low charge and he said Turo comes up with what the cost would be. So I charged it as I should to respect renting his vehicle. To just get charged again twice with fees.

Just to clarify: the Cybertruck is always delivered at 80% per Tesla’s guidance, and it must be returned at the same level per Turo policy. If it’s returned lower, we incur a cost to recharge, which is passed along. Running the AC while charging draws more power, which is why your charging session cost more. It wasn’t an added fee, just increased energy use during that time you were charging.

Everything about this trip was perfect - we rented for our youngest sons 10th birthday and he was ecstatic! Emir was great and quick to respond to answer questions/concerns. We are so thankful and hope to rent again in the future.
