I have excellent insurance coverage that covers any vehicle I drive but was forced to select coverage through Turo to be able to reserve or rent vehicle, an unnecessary extra charge that was unavoidable. There was a confusion about the rental duration which resulted in spending close to 3 hours on the phone with Turo customer service. It was finally resolved after paying additional charges beyond rental fees. On top of losing a large chunk of a short family getaway and costing more than expected, was a disappointment. We were also disappointed with the vehicle maintenance, I was advised that the service light and tire pressure light were on but should go off, they did not. Tint (which was tinted on both the inside and outside of the windows) on front windows was so dark that I had to roll the windows down to be able to see, the wiper blades also needed replaced making visibility difficult as well. In addition the cars Apple IPLAY did not work. Honestly I don’t know that I will use the service again, since regular rental service offers luxury vehicles at a much lower rate with no hassle and you are not forced into additional insurance coverage.
