Description

2020 Pearl White Model Y With All Black Premium Interior and 20’’ Induction Wheels. This car is a blast to drive with dual electric motors. Goes from 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds. Drive with Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) [not full self driving (FSD)] for a more enjoyable cruise down the highway. EAP includes: auto steering plus distance cruise-control, navigate on autopilot, auto lane change, autopark, and summon. Always keep your hands on the wheel, pay attention, and be ready to take over the driving, as needed. Tesla’s have built in performance monitoring so any excessive speeds are recorded. Please do not drive recklessly. Please obey the speed limits. Going more than 10 mph over the speed limit is considered excessive speed. FEATURES: Automatic transmission, All-wheel drive, AUX input, Backup camera, Blind spot warning, Bluetooth, GPS, Keyless entry, Sunroof, USB charger, USB input ,12-way power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable steering column, power-folding and heated side mirrors, and LED fog lamps. Further convenience items include push-button ignition, a garage door opener, cruise control, and a 12-volt power. A power trunk lid release makes for easier access to the cargo area, while a wireless charging pad is standard and situated beneath a covered compartment in front. There is a thorough array of driver aids, including collision warning, emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a rearview camera, and eight airbags. Parking sensors are also equipped front and rear. All infotainment duties - and pretty much all other functions, even adjusting the side mirrors - are handled by the large 15-inch touchscreen mounted to the right of the steering wheel. The screen itself is responsive and crystal clear, but the lack of physical controls means that you can't make any adjustments based on feel alone, which can frustrate. What you do get is Bluetooth, four USB ports, and docking for two smartphones. A Wi-Fi hotspot is part of the package as well, as is navigation. Audio is channeled via a 14-speaker sound system with a subwoofer. Like other Teslas, the Model Y's low center of gravity and the large crumple zones contribute to its strong safety cell. Of course, there is a long list of passive and active safety features, too, including eight airbags - side curtain and knee airbags are included as well. The Model Y also has tire pressure monitoring, a hill holder function, and stability control. Tesla's familiar Autopilot suite comprises blind-spot monitoring, collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.

Faqs

  • Can I charge this Tesla at any of the many level 2 (240v) chargers on the island?

Yes but there are numerous operating companies. There is free charging at Target (4 chargers) and Costco (1 charger) but they are slow. The free charger at Walmart is always out of order. There is an SAE J1772 adapter in the trunk that you will need for those L2 charging sites. Don't lose it because it will cost for you $150 to replace! ($95 cost plus $55 service fee to replace)

  • Are there any Tesla Superchargers on the Big Island?

There is a Supercharger at the Waikoloa Hilton and the Four Seasons Hotel. You will need to have a dinner reservation in order to access those Superchargers. A golf reservation at the Four Seasons may work, as well.

  • How else do I DC Fast charge this car besides those private Superchargers?

Locate nearest CHAdeMO fast charger location on PlugShare cellphone app. There are 8 locations on the Big Island operated by Greenlots. If you want to use these, I suggest registering with Greenlots online in advance and loading their cellphone app, which will make charging much easier to initiate. If you don't preregister, you can still enter credit card information at the charger or via the supplied 800 telephone#. There is a CHAdeMO adapter for the Tesla in the trunk. Don't lose it because it will cost you $550 to replace! ($450 cost plus $100 service fee to replace)
