Description

While Nissan is well known for its mid-size and full-size SUVs, they have only recently entered into the red-hot compact crossover SUV market. With its introduction in 2008, the Rogue earned mixed reviews mainly for its polarizing styling and somewhat Spartan interior. For 2011, Nissan has traded up, giving the Rogue a new look, a new interior and far more in the way of affordable creature comforts. Under the new skin, the same fuel efficient four-cylinder engine and CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) provide plenty of pep, and the available all-wheel drive model is ideal for snowy climes. With heavy hitters such as the Subaru Forester, Honda CR-V, Ford Escape and Toyota RAV4 already well established, and new comers like the all-new Kia Sportage, and Hyundai Tucson, the Rogue will have its work cut out. But, Nissan loyalists have always been on the cutting edge of style and performance, and they represent a larger audience the Rogue might yet have a chance to win over.

The car broke down on me I had to pull over on the highway several times just to make it back to the house. The owner had it towed but the Turo rep only wanted to give me a partial refund even though I hadn’t had the car for 24 hours, now I’m stuck in Winter Haven without a vehicle and I have to wait until the car is inspected by a mechanic before he’ll consider refunding me any additional money and I had to pay a $130 delivery fee that was not refunded. So now I have to find another vehicle and perhaps pay another delivery fee.

When I booked the vehicle I was under the impression that I would go to wherever the car was located and pick it up. I attempted several times to ask the owner where I would pick the vehicle up at. She however did not respond until she had dropped the vehicle off at the airport. Because of the vehicle being delivered to the airport this caused an additional $100 charge, which I was trying to avoid. Also the car was extremely difficult to locate in the airport. Finding it took up a lot of time and was very frustrating. Contacting Turo was also pointless. Oh and the drop off time was very difficult to change during the initial booking. My plans were to drop it off later Saturday, rather than that afternoon but they wanted an additional $100. So it only made since to just return it the next morning. Not sure I would use Turo again.

This was the first time I used Turo, Willena was great! The car worked well for a family of 4 for the week. No issues at all. Easy pick up and drop off at the airport.
