Billed for a couple gal gas after I gave him a ride across town in rush hour traffic not sure I’d do it again

Awful worse experience. Do not rent from this host. How Turo is continuing to allow this person to host through their site just shows how much little involvement they have when validating the vehicle safety checklist. Also a big lesson I learned is to not pick up a vehicle at night. Otherwise during the inspection I would of noticed the crack on the tires and exposed worn tire. The interior smelled like cigarettes. By the following afternoon the tire pressure warning light displayed. When I inspected the rear tires I was shocked and couldn’t believe a owner could be so irresponsible to loan their vehicle. Their was a puncture in the right rear tire and baldness on the left that exposed the stictjxing of tire. The host would not cooperate and felt as long as their is air in the tire it is drivable. I spent my entire work day working with Turo road side assistance to tow the vehicle back to the host. With the shortage in vehicles not only was I out of a car for my business trip but a bill that I have been yet to be refunded due to the lack of support from the host and Turo. Folks you pay for what you get and this is a big lesson learn for me. I don’t want anyone to go through this nightmare.

As a host, I'm disappointed with Turo as well. Turo should be responsible to make it's a safe paltform for the host as well. Turo make money but didn't do much work, and push responsibility to either host or guest. Host are victim as well.

DO NOT RENT!! DO NOT RENT!! DO NOT RENT!! This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in any car rental. He gave me the car with a break light out and the car needed a oil change also the tires were bald and the car drove horrible. Plus it smell nasty and was very dirty. And to top it all off when I dropped the car off he yelled at me saying how much money was I giving him for the break light going out like he didn’t give me the car with a light out plus break lights are wear and tear items. This guy has serious issues and should not be allowed to rent a car on here. And I had to pay a detail shop $100 to clean the car to even sit in it for the week I rented it that how bad it was guys. Save yourself and your wallets walk any from this offer

Great car! Charles is a great host and made pick up seamless. He was very prompt at replying to any questions. Would definitely rent his BMW again!
