📌ℹ️ I AM OFFERING 50% DISCOUNT ON DELIVERY. HERE'S HOW ℹ️📌 This does not apply to deliver to and from SeaTac Airport. Airport delivery is free. You can get 1/2 off on delivery if you can do both of the following: * If you are willing and able to ride me back to my house after bringing the car to your delivery location on dropoff day * If you can bring the car to my house on return day after which, I would ride you the rest of the way to your delivery location My house is 10 minutes drive north of the airport in the White Center neighborhood. Since bringing me back to my house is 1/2 a delivery, you'll get 50% off on the delivery fee. Turo doesn't support me changing the delivery fee, ad-hoc, so in order to do this, you have to book without delivery and tell me in messaging that you can drive me back for delivery, at which point, I would temporarily reduce delivery fee for you and you can modify trip to add delivery at half price. If you have already booked with a delivery location, you can modify trip to remove the delivery, then I would reduce the delivery price, and then you can modify trip a second time to get the reduce delivery fee. The delivery offer will also help make delivery during work hours possible, so if you need that, please mention as well. --- If you want a cheaper car and don't think you'll need fast charging, you can also rent my husband's Chevy Bolt https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/seattle-wa/chevrolet/bolt-ev/460473 If you don't need the trunk space or the car is currently unavailable, you can also rent my husband's Tesla Model 3 https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/seattle-wa/tesla/model-3/1871806 Car includes everything you can possibly need ⭐Tesla Mobile Connector - Charging cable that works with L1 (a normal plug) or L2 (a 220V plug) charging. Do not under any circumstance, remove the glovebox PIN or PIN to drive settings. Please, if you're going to move anything in the car, like the amenities in the trunk or frunk, put them back in the same spot where you found them, or inform me over Turo messaging if you moved them. Be sure to request the car seat, if you need it. It's available, but I don't leave it in the car permanently. It has to be requested, so that I mount it in the back seat. Be sure to lock the car when you leave. The car only autolocks when walking away if you have phone key. As a renter, you only have the physical key and therefore, you have to manually lock the car yourself, same way you unlock it. Check the FAQ in the listing page for directions on locking and unlocking. If there were any tolls and Tesla supercharging incurred, the reimbursement requests would be sent out after the trip is over. The invoices for the individual supercharging sessions are sent out by me manually after the session is over though, so you can check to see how much you'll owe in reimbursement during the trip. The invoice will be in the trip photos. If you haven't plugged in a supercharger correctly, the indicator at the charge port will turn yellow. It won't charge as quickly in that instance, so be sure to remove the charger and plug it back in so the indicator turns blue and then green. When it's not plugged in properly, I usually get a notification on my phone in the Tesla app so I might remind you in messages to reseat the charger. Tesla Supercharging has idle fees that kick in when the charger has hit the charging limit, which is by default 100% on my car, but the charging station can bump it down temporarily to 80% for that session if it's a busy charging station. So when you put it to charge, be aware of that, and unplug at the time when the station says it will be done so that you don't get an idle fee.
How do I unlock and open the car?
If you're doing a Turo Go rental, you can unlock the car with your Turo app, and the card key will be in the glovebox and you use that to start the car. If it's a normal rental, I will give you the card key and you hold the key card up to the driver side door pillar below the camera. The side mirrors will open out and that's how you know the car unlocked. Once the car is unlocked, press the end part of the door handle in with your thumb and that will open out the handle and you open the car that way Tesla's youtube video explains: https://youtu.be/Rpzqh4CHfac?t=16 My husband's video explains: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=14
How do I open the glovebox?
If your drive is a Turo Go drive, the key is in the glovebox, and you need to open it to access it, select the Car button in the bottom right-> Controls -> Glovebox. I also keep your rental agreement and the Turo insurance card in the glovebox. The Discover Pass and Northwest Forest Pass hiking passes, as well as The J-1772 charging adapter is also in the glovebox. My video explains: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=546
How do I use the navigation? How do I use the navigation to find a charging station?
GPS / Satnav is mostly self explanatory. The only thing to note is that the car has voice commands, and you can set the navigation that way. The button for voice commands is the right scrollwheel button on the steering wheel. Press it and say "navigate to <location>". To use the nav to find a charging station, tap anywhere on the map, and the right sidebar panel with button to show layers, shows up. tap the one on the button which shows nearby chargers. The Tesla superchargers are in red. The other companies chargers are in grey. The slow chargers at L2 are filtered by the one lightning bolt symbol in this panel. The fast L3 chargers are the two lightning bolts and the Tesla superchargers are the 3 lightning bolts in this panel. Tesla chargers will be billed to me, and I will send a reimbursement invoice at the end. The others, (EVgo, Electrify America, Blink, Chargepoint etc.) would be charged to you. Install and setup their app on your phone to use their chargers. How do I turn on the wipers?
To turn on the wipers, it's the same steering wheel left handle. Press the button on the end of it, to engage the wiper for one swipe. Long pressing the button on the end of it, turns on the wiper and the cleaning solution. When you press the button, the quick setting panel on the left of the console pops up and you can change the wiper setting from Auto, to full, intermittent or off. Usually, you can just leave it at Auto and you don't have the manually turn it on or change the setting. Most cars usually have a center dashboard with the speed, turn signals, odometer etc. Where's that on this car?
The left hand panel in the center console is the equivalent of the dashboard in a regular car. Speed, Gear, Odometer is there. The main center portion is a visualization of the other cars on the road that it sees. This serves as blind spot indicator. A car will be red, if it's unsafe to drive into it and the car will make a noise if you're about to switch lanes into a car. The odometer is not immediately obvious. In the bottom portion of the left side is the quick access for the media controls. Swipe that to the left and the Odometer will show. Swipe to the left again, and the Tire pressure is displayed. Where is the gearshift? How do I use the gearshift?
The gearshift is the steering wheel right handle. It can be pushed up or down in two levels. You'll feel it when you move it. * Pushing it up one level puts it into Neutral * Pushing it up two levels puts it into Reverse * Pushing it down two levels puts it into Drive * Pressing the button on the end puts it into Park * Long pressing the button on the end turns on the parking brake. Moving it into any other gear turns off the parking brake Drive mode uses regen braking mode by default. It will decelerate when you step off the accelerator which will recharge the battery a little bit. If pull it back down into Drive while it's in drive it will switch to the rolling Drive mode that one would be used to in gas cars. How do I open the door to get out of the car?
There are two buttons on the door that can open the car. The electronic one that you should always use, and the manual use that you should only use in emergencies. The electronic one is at the top of the door handle with the symbol on it. How do you charge the car with a Tesla Supercharger?
Park at the Tesla supercharger parking spot, and take the charger out of the station. Tap it on the back left charger port above the left headlight. The reflector will open up revealing the charger. Plug it in and it will start charging. I will be billed, and I send the reimbursement request at the end of the trip. If the charge port doesn't open, you can point the charger at the charge port and tap on the button on it, OR open it from the center console, by tapping on the lightning icon on the pic of the car on the left pane. How do you charge the car with the non-Tesla chargers?
The non-Tesla chargers show up in the GPS Map / Satnav as the gray chargers in the list when pulling up the list of nearby chargers. There are two levels for public charging, and they mostly align to the charging companies. There is the L2 charging companies, are usually Blink, Chargepoint, Volta, Semaconnect, Shell Recharge, EVGo and Electrify America. EVGo and Electrify America are primarily for L3 fast charging, but some of their stations have an L2 station. L2 charging charges at 30 miles of battery power per hour, and they use the J-1772 aka J-plug charge plug. On the Tesla Map, those are the ones that show up filtered under the one lightning bolt. The car includes a J-1772 adapter, that is in the glovebox. L2 charging will fill a car up from empty in 8-10 hours. The L3 charging companies, are usually EVGo, and Electrify America, and the Tesla superchargers. L3 charging is very fast at 70-100 miles of battery power per hour, and are comparable to the Tesla superchargers. The non-Tesla companies use the CCS or Chademo charge plugs. On the Tesla Map, those are the ones that show up filtered under the 2 lightning bolts. The car has a CCS adapter that is in the trunk. L3 charging will fill a car up from empty in 1-3 hours. The charging steps depend on the company, but is very similar. It basically amounts to 1. Search for and install the app for the company's charging service 2. Setup an account in the app 3. Add a payment method 4. Locate the charger in the app if you're already there 5. Follow instructions in the app to unlock and use the charger The only exception to this is L2 Volta chargers. Those chargers are free and paid for with ads, so you just walk up and plug it in. They are limited to 2 hours however. Here are the links to download the apps for all the charging station companies • Chargepoint - https://www.chargepoint.com/drivers/mobile/ • Blink - https://www.blinknetwork.com/mobile.html • Semaconnect - https://www.semaconnect.com/blog/download-our-app/ • EVgo - https://www.evgo.com/download-app/ • Electrify America - https://www.electrifyamerica.com/mobile-app • Shell Recharge - https://shellrecharge.com/en-gb/public-charging/shell-recharge-app • Volta - Volta charging stations actually operates on advertising and are free, so you don't need to install the app to use it. Their app is just optionally used to find Volta stations. ◦ 🍏 https://apps.apple.com/us/app/volta-charging/id1000230545 ◦ 🤖 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.volta.android Youtube Short that explains the different kinds of charge ports. My Tesla comes with adapters so it can work with J-Plug (J-1772) or CCS chargers as well. J-Plug adapter is in the glovebox, and CCS adapter is in the trunk: https://youtube.com/shorts/-EktsvIilps?feature=share My husband's video explains: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=799 If you want a cheaper car and don't think you'll need fast charging, you can also rent my Chevy Bolt https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/seattle-wa/chevrolet/bolt-ev/460473
What are the different ways to charge the car?
There are three ways to charge the car. * A Tesla Supercharger * A non-tesla public charging station * At the home/Airbnb where you are staying Each method of charging has different ways to do it and work in different situations. Generally the easiest will be the Tesla Supercharger. There are many of them around, and doesn't need additional setup from your end. When using it, I will be charged and will have to be reimbursed. I send the reimbursement request for the charging after the trip has ended. The non-tesla charging stations are also good in terms of the charging speed, if they are Electrify America or EVgo chargers (100 miles per hour). If they are from the other companies, like Blink or Chargepoint, they are slower and comparable to home charging (30miles of charger per hour). It does require more setup though. The app for the charging company would have to be installed and setup, in order to start the charging. For the at home or at Airbnb charging, if charging with a 220V plug like what a washing machine uses, it charges at 30 miles per hours. If charging from a normal 110V wall outlet, it charges at 10 miles per hour. The car comes with a charging cable in the trunk, that can be used with either a 220V or 110V plug. Youtube Short that explains the different kinds of charge ports. My Tesla comes with adapters so it can work with J-Plug (J-1772) or CCS chargers as well. J-Plug adapter is in the glovebox, and CCS adapter is in the trunk: https://youtube.com/shorts/-EktsvIilps?feature=share My husband's video explains charging levels: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=698 If you want a cheaper car and don't think you'll need fast charging, you can also rent my Chevy Bolt https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/seattle-wa/chevrolet/bolt-ev/460473
How do you charge the car at someone's house or AirBnB?
You can charge at the slower L1 and L2 levels of charge at someone's house. Depends on which wall plug you have access to. Both levels use the J-1772 aka J-Plug to plug into the car. L1 charging is the charging you'd get if you used a charging cable that plugged into a normal 110V wall outlet that other household appliances use. It only charges at about 10 miles of battery charge per hour. At that rate, It would take about 27 hours to charge the car to full from empty. It's useful for trickle charge to just top up some extra miles when the car is parked overnight. Very slow, but can only help if it's available. L2 charging is the charging you'd get if you used a charging cable that plugged into a 220V wall outlet that heavy appliances like washing machines use. It is the same charging rate as the public L2 charging stations mentioned earlier, and what all home setups use for charging. It adds 30 miles of battery charge per hour. That usually takes 8-10 hours to fill up the car from empty. The car includes Tesla's mobile connector dual mode charging cable that can do both. It has dongles for the 110V and the 220V plugs, and you just plug in the right one, then plug the cable into the 110 or 220V wall outlet and the other end with the charge plug into the car. So basically ask if the Airbnb has a charger, and ask whether it plugs into a wall outlet or a 220V plug, then you will know how fast it will charge. If they don't have one, ask if they have an outdoor wall plug that is close to the car parking spot that you can use to charge, and use the mobile connector charging plug in the trunk to charge the car. Tesla's Youtube Video Explains: https://youtu.be/CN40_NNziCo?t=4 My husband's video explains: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=1069 My husband's video shows the mobile connector: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=1174 If you want a cheaper car and don't think you'll need fast charging, you can also rent my Chevy Bolt https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/seattle-wa/chevrolet/bolt-ev/460473
How do I make a turn signal?
Turn signal is mostly the same as other cars. It's the steering wheel left handle. The only difference is that it also has two levels. When turning it all the way, to the full two levels, in a direction it turns on the turn signal fully. When you turn it half way in a direction, to one level, it turns on the turn signal briefly for only 3 clicks of the turn signal. If the turn signal is on in one direction, turn it back in the other direction to that half level to turn it back off. Tesla's Youtube video explains: https://youtu.be/Rpzqh4CHfac?t=220 My husband's video explains: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=314
How do I set the mirror settings, steering wheel settings, and seat settings for myself? What are driving profiles?
The car saves, mirror settings, steering wheel settings, and seat settings in driver profiles, you can set profiles by selecting ( https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=412 ) Car -> The User Profile in the top of the right panel. As a Turo guest, please use the Turo profile that is I made for you, so you don't change my personal settings. The key is tied to the profile, so it should be set to Turo when you start the car. But double check. ( https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=488 ) To change the mirrors go to Car -> Controls -> Mirrors Select a mirror in the console Then move the mirror with the LEFT scroll wheel on the steering wheel (It can be shifted both left to right and up and down) A prompt will come up in the console asking you to save the settings, choose Save ( https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=496 ) To change the steering column go to Car -> Controls -> Steering Then move the steering with the LEFT scroll wheel on the steering wheel (It can be shifted both left to right and up and down) A prompt will come up in the console asking you to save the settings, choose Save ( https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=482 ) To change the seat settings, those are on the side of the seat like in a normal car. Just set the controls, then a prompt will come up in the console asking you to the save the settings, choose Save. Out of all of these options the only that is completely manual is the center mirror. Just change that like normal. Tesla's Youtube video explains: My husband's video explains: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=412
The charge plug is stuck in the charging port? How do I get it out?
The charger gets locked into the charge port, so you have to unlock it. There are a few ways, depending on if you're using an adapter or not. If it's a regular Tesla charger plug, you tap the top of the charger, and then that unlocks it. If it's a J-1772 charger plug and it's using a J-1772 adapter, you unlatch but don't remove the charge plug, then with your other hand pull out the adapter from the charge port. The Tesla video explains what this looks like. If neither of those work, you can unlock the charge port from the center console via Car button -> Charging -> Unlock Charge Port Tesla's Youtube Video Explains: https://youtu.be/CN40_NNziCo?t=208 My husband's video explains: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=135
How do I open the trunk? How do I open the front trunk?
The left hand panel of the center console displays a pic of the car when it's parked. It displays the controls to open the trunk and the frunk aka the front trunk. It can also let you lock or unlock yourself from inside the car, as well as open the charge port. Tesla's Youtube Video Explains: https://youtu.be/esjtcjujV54?t=39
Where do I charge my phone?
There's two ways to charge your phone. Below the center console are two Qi charging pads for charging your phone, if your phone supports wireless charging. If your phone doesn't support wireless charging, the closed drawer in the middle between the seats has a USB-C and an iPhone charging cable. There are also USB-C cables for charging in the back seat My husband's video explains: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=889
How do I turn on the radio? How do I turn on the Bluetooth?
The center console has a dock style app launcher. it's in the center of the bottom row. Just tap it and then tap the white radio icon. To load the bluetooth, tap the launcher button in the center, and then tap the blue bluetooth icon. During playback you can control volume with the left scrollwheel. You can pause by pushing down the left scrollwheel. You can move between tracks by moving the left scrollwheel left and right. Where are all the amenities that are were listed for the car, located?
They're in the center pocket, the glovebox and the trunk pocket, with the majority in the trunk pocket. The only one that is not included by default is the car seat. I supply it upon request since it's so bulky. Please let me know if you need the car seat, and I will include it. My husband's video explains: https://youtu.be/hrYZW8I76WA?t=1155
How do you change the climate settings?
The climate settings can be split between the driver and passenger seat, which is why there's two numbers in the bottom bar of the center console. Tap either one to display the full climate controls. Once displayed, it looks similar to standard climate controls settings albeit, very snazzy looking. You also tap up or down next to each climate number to change the temp quickly, or swipe on either number to display a mini quick panel to change the temp or split the temp between the seats. 10/10. First time renting an EV on turo. As a recurrent customer I appreciate hosts Abbie and Chris for the flexibility upon the return to re-charge at their home. Pick up and drop off was smooth and this was an exceptional drive around Seattle. Thank you!

Everything was amazing! Host was super accommodating and responds quickly. Had an amazing time in this car. Now I want to buy one for myself!

Chris and Abbie are very reliable and easy to communicate with.
Their vehicle met all our needs and was perfect for our family of 4. The bonnet compartment helped carry small items. The truck was where they kept the charger and other items so we didn’t get to use it. The car was clean and we were fortunate to have the FSD during our rental.

Excellent service. I will definitely use them again!!
