The Kia EV6 is an excellent choice for a rental car due to its 200-250-mile range (condition and driving dependent), easy driving dynamics, and advanced technology. It’s perfect for city driving and medium-distance trips, and its industry-leading fast charging capabilities at certain stations allow drivers to quickly recharge and get back on the road. Please note that this Kia cannot be charged at Tesla Supercharger locations. It is suggested you download Electrify America, Charge Point, Blink Charging, and Plug Share mobile apps before your rental to aid in identifying working chargers. The car is not AWD, but is rear wheel drive (RWD) with an available “snow” mode that can be engaged for **light** snow conditions only. This mode dampens throttle response and disables regenerative braking. Snow chains are not provided or allowed on this car because of the high likelihood of damage with improper installation. The spacious interior comfortably accommodates passengers and luggage (infant/toddler car seat available for a fee) while the intuitive infotainment system enhances the driving experience. Built-in KIA Navigation works well, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android auto through an easy USB plug. Wireless charging for a phone is also available in the center console. This car is toll ready in Washington State so you can just breeze through the tolls - Turo tracks it automatically and invoices you directly after the rental. You’re also able to take this car into Canada for trips to British Columbia.

It is capable of 300 kWh fast charging on certain chargers in optimal conditions. For the fastest charging, be sure to navigate to the charger in the KIA navigation. This prompts the car to pre-condition the battery for the fastest charging (Tesla was the first to have this feature).

The EV6 was great and Jack was super helpful during pickup and drop off. When I picked it up, he was bringing it back from the car wash so it was both clean and Jack showed that he cared about his customer's experience. He also was very easy going about the fact that we were bringing our dog in the car and he was very easy going about how messy we made the car and how much charge we returned the car with. He was also very flexible with our drop off time.

The car was a joy to drive. Range wasn't an issue! 250-268 miles per 100% charge. It doesn't drain battery like Tesla cars do because it gets turned off when not used. Apple CarPlay was such an upgrade from Tesla infotainment system.
Last, Kia EV6 elegant and unique design is such a head turner when there are tons of Tesla EVs on the road that look boring. I am a Tesla owner and this Kia did impress me with both tech and look.
