Description

2021 MODEL Y PERFORMANCE Enjoy taking your trip to the next level of luxury. The Tesla Model Y Performance is a fun way to get around town. This model is great for hauling around your family and luggage. We have the vehicle set for one pedal driving meaning you will rarely need to use the break. It is a fascinating new way of driving that makes it fun again! If you haven't driven and all electric vehicle you have a lot to look forward too. feeling the instant torque under the pedal is mind blowing. Included with your rental is the charging cord with 110v plug and with plenty of super chargers in the valley you will never run out of juice. This is the PERFORMANCE model and average range per charge is about 270 miles. 🧳=4 🙍🏽‍♂️=5 🔋= ~300mi ✔️ Sanitized Before Rental ✔️ Electric Vehicle ~270mi ✔️ 0-60 MPH In 3.5s ✔️ 5 Seats ✔️ Autopilot ✔️ J Plug Converter Onboard ✔️ 110v Charger Onboard ✔️ 5 Star reviews AIRPORT DELIVERY (PHX): We utilize the Preflight parking garage located just north of the airport. Avoid the 10% airport usage fee by booking to pick up at our home address! (This is the Preflight garage address). The garage can be accessed by Preflight’s free shuttle service. 24hrs prior to the start of your trip we will send you a message with more detailed directions to the garage shuttle. Make sure your phone sends you notifications from the Turo app. EV CHARGING: If this is your first time renting an EV please familiarize yourself with charging networks and terminology. Charging times vary from vehicle to vehicle dependent on a few factors A vehicles maximum capable charge rate: This is measured in kW. The max on an AC charger for this vehicle is 7.7kW and 170kW on a DC fast charger/Tesla Super Charger. A vehicles current charge level: for every EV it's fastest charge rate will occur from 10%-80%. 0%-10% and 80%-100% are extremely slow to charge. The Charger you choose: DC Fast Charging or Tesla Super Charging will always be the fastest. When selecting a charger make sure its output is close to the max charge rate of the vehicle for fastest charging. EV RANGE: Several factors play into range. I prefer to think about it more in the sense of % than miles because this is a rental car. If it was your personal car the vehicle could more accurately predict the milage based on your driving habits. Here is a list of things that will decrease than EVs range. Not locking the vehicle (the vehicle wont "fall asleep") Not turning the vehicle off (Teslas don't have a power button it recognizes when you are in and out of the seat) Using the heat or A/C (this consumes more energy than you would think) Driving up a mountain (same with gas powered vehicles EVs chew through a lot of energy to get up hill) Flooring the power (your driving style plays a part in battery/energy consumption) These lists are not intended to scare you away from renting an EV. They are absolutely fun vehicles to drive and are pretty easy to understand once you have the basics down. **All super charging costs will be invoiced to the customer upon reservation completion.

Faqs

  • What are Tesla charging options?

There are 3 ways to charge the Tesla. READ THE TIP AT THE END 1. Use the charging cable in the trunk of the Tesla to charge on a standard 3 prong outlet. The charging cable has a 110 plug on it. A standard 110 charger will recharge the Tesla about 5 miles in one hour (very slow). 2. Charging at a Tesla Supercharger. Use the Tesla maps to find your closest charging station. Supercharges can charge the battery to 80% full in under 30 minutes. Just be careful, once the Tesla is fully charged, you have 5 minutes to unplug the charger from the car before Tesla starts charging an "Idle Fee" of $.50-1.00 per minute! The charging costs + Idle fee's will be charged to me and then passed onto you after the trip. See the details at this link below. https://www.tesla.com/support/supercharger-idle-fee 3. Charging at a non Tesla charging station. This is the most cost effective and time saving way to charge the Tesla. There are a lot of third party charging systems all over the valley. All of these charging systems have their own iPhone / Android apps for you to locate and track charging. Here are the most popular charging networks in the area. - Charge Point - Most of them are free, just download the app and create an account! When you arrive, hold your phone up to the charge point station to initiate a charging session. - Volta - Totally free, no app needed. Just pull in and plug in. Most are located at Whole Foods grocery stores but there is also one at the scottsdale quarter. - Blink - Never free, occasionally malfunctioning and unavailable, you'll need the blink app & create account to initiate a charge session. TIP: When using a 3rd party charger, you will need to connect the Tesla charging adapter to the tip of the charger for compatibility. When you are done charging, you will need to "Unlock" the adapter from the charging port through the Tesla's touch screen before you can remove the adapter from the charging port. The adapter is locked in the charging port to keep it from getting stolen. Call me if you need help.

  • How do I charge the Tesla with a Tesla charger?

There is a charging cord located in the trunk of the Model Y. there is an adaptor for a 110v (standard outlet). To charge plug in the the charger to an outlet. Point the EV charging end at the rear driver side red reflector and push the button on the the EV charging end handle. The port door will automatically open. Plug in the EV charging end into the port. A green charging light will glow around the charger and the EV charging end will lock into the port. To disengage the EV charger from the Model Y simply push the button on the EV charging end handle and wait for the charging light to turn white then remove handle. If you need there are plenty of super chargers around the valley to keep you on the go. These locations are marked on the GPS map noted with red location points. Each point shows a number. This is the number of stations that are currently available. When you arrive back into a charging spot and follow the above instructions. All charging fees acquired at a super charger will be passed on to you. Charging at a Super Charger is fairly quick.
