FAQs
What type of gas does the car take? Do I need to fill up the gas tank before returning?
Premium; we do ask that you fill the tank to the same level you received it before return unless you opted for the prepaid fuel Extra. Please go by gauge, not predicted number of miles remaining.
Are you flexible with the vehicle pick-up or drop-off location? Do you offer delivery?
Once you select a location, you will pick-up and return to the same location. You can adjust under details tab by selecting change trip if needed. We also offer FREE delivery to the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. Please note the airport does charge a fee to allow us to deliver the car to the airport. We do not receive any portion of this fee.
Do I need to clean the vehicle before returning it?
We ask that you return the vehicle in the same condition as pick-up. We don't expect you to go out and detail the car before return, but we do appreciate the car being tidy upon return.
Where is the pick-up location?
The pick-up location is listed in the app on the trip details page with your reservation details.
How does communication work?
Turo requires all communication to be held in the Turo app, and we ask that you please adhere to this policy. It is IMPORTANT that you download the Turo app and turn notifications on, otherwise, you will miss important pieces of instruction for vehicle pick up.
Are you flexible with extensions? What about adjusting pick-up/return time?
Extensions are always encouraged when possible (subject to car availability). You must request this under details tab by selecting change trip. PICK-UP CHANGES: If you need to pick-up the car early, this is dependent upon vehicle availability and if car has been cleaned after previous rental. Please message us in app to inquire. If you need to pick-up the car late, please message us to let us know. RETURN CHANGES: You are welcome to return the car early. If you need to return late, you must adjust under details tab by selecting change trip. If this step is not completed through app the car will be considered late and fees will apply.
What if I need extra mileage?
We do offer an "extra" where you can purchase unlimited mileage; if you are going to go over mileage by a significant amount, we do encourage you to purchase that extra. Otherwise, we charge per mile over the allotted mileage, which varies depending on the car, you can find the details on the trip details page of the app.
How do I add an additional driver?
