Vehicle was great and exceeded my expectations. It was amazing at conserving fuel once you figure out how to put it in eco mode and learn how to modulate the gas pedal properly. (There were a lot more buttons than I’m used to lol) I made the drive from Santa Monica all the way to Big Bear and back on a single tank of gas. All while making random trips to the store multiple times in Big Bear and taking my family around town. The vehicle was able to maintain traction on steep hills with light ice, snow, gravel, and dirt. I can’t say how it would perform in any more extreme conditions. My only issue was Ned’s description of the vehicles size/capacity when I messaged him. In my specific scenario, I was hoping I could bring my whole family of 6 short adults and one child/car seat in the vehicle. We ended up having to take one of our personal cars up with us to Big Bear because the third row realistically can only comfortably accommodate 2 small children, maybe 3. I am specifically talking “comfortably”, so if push came to shove, it could have been possible to fit my whole family in the suv. It just wouldn’t be very comfortable with the car full of luggage and a 2+ hour drive. Other than that minor detail my experience with the vehicle and Ned/his partner Charlie was great. Not as seamless as possible, but considering the circumstances, everything still worked itself out. I was not in a rush during my vacation so I was happy to be as flexible as Ned/Charlie was. I would rent from Ned again if the opportunity arises.
