This was my first rental with the Turo app. Angelo is a good host. He was responsive and communicated well before and during my trip, answering all my questions and kindly helping me with the check in process.
This Toyota Sequoia was a great choice for our family camping outing. It fit all our gear in perfectly! Very spacious cargo, the seats were comfy and had a nice sound system to listen to. There is also many nice added features to this SUV as well, plenty of cup holders, added storage compartments, DVD player and we especially loved how the tailgate window can roll up and down making it nice for our pup to get some fresh air.
However, there were some understandable minor maintenance it needed. The coolant needed to be topped off, a headlight was out and the car would shake when on the freeway from a back tire that might be wearing out or needs re-balancing. Angelo responded quickly when notifying him with these concerns.
But other than that, my family and I enjoyed the vehicle and had a fun trip. Would definitely rent again if these minor things can get addressed.

The Sequoia was great for our family with 2 large boys. Overall it was nicely appointed (adaptive cruise, heated and cooling seats, power everything, leather seats, DVD player and 2" hitch). It is showing some wear as it is ~10 years and 150k miles but doesn't look beat up. The exterior is in great condition.
However, we did have a few issues:
1) The cruise control gave a warning and stopped working until we stopped for gas. It functioned normally the rest of the trip.
2) The passenger rear tire was badly worn and produced a concerning vibration at all speeds. Upon further inspection it was a different brand than the other 3 wheels, tread was down to the wear bars, and it appeared to have a bulge in the tread (probably causing the vibration). Honestly, this seemed like a pretty high safety concern and a little dissapointed to find that this tire was in such bad shape. Luckily we made it back fine and we rented it during the summer. That tire would have been useless in the snow. The other 3 tires were in decent shape and a quick peek showed a full size spare, also in good shape.
3) There was a significant delay in communication. It took 3 hours for a response right after I had booked the car. The rest of the communications appeared to be canned messages about checking in, DL verification and drop off procedures. The day we were returning I notified Angelo about the tire at 11:46am. We returned the car at 6:55pm and never received a response. I'm worried what would have happened if we actually had a real issue with the tire.
Overall we enjoyed the spaciousness of the car and everything worked out fine in the end. I just hope the tires are in better shape for the next user. The safety concern was quite stressfull and the vibration was uncomfortable.

Angelo was excellent with communication and pick-up and drop-off were a breeze!
The Sequoia was exactly as described and in excellent condition. It served our needs perfectly and was very comfortable for a family weekend to Yosemite (including all of our luggage!) The vehicle has all the bells and whistles!
I would definitely use this vehicle again in the future and I really appreciate Angelo’s attention to detail and clear communication and instructions!!
