Parking details

When picking up your rental car from “The Park n’ Jet” located at 2200 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84116 You will need to upload in the app a copy of your license prior to arriving at the car. When you arrive, walk up to the entrance booth and show them your drivers license and they will give you a welcome packet with your keys in it and the parking stall location. When you arrive at the car, please take a picture of the car and odometer. Also, take a picture of your driver's license in your hand with your face and the car license plate showing in the picture. Upload all of these pictures under trip photos in the app. This allows both of us to qualify for insurance. Once you are on your way, please message us on the app and let us know you have received the car. Please follow these detailed instructions as we have found this process to be the most efficient.

Guidelines

Absolutely No Smoking, Vaping, or Pets in the vehicle. Make sure you put Premium Gasoline in this Vehicle. We have provided in-the-glove box cleaning locations for those who haven't prepaid for gas and cleaning. Please we ask you not to Smoke in the car! It really kills any resale value it may have.

    The keys will be delivered in an envelope to the hotel's front desk or to the bell desk, with pick up and drop off instructions.

  • What happens if the Car Breaks Down and I need a New Vehicle?

    What happens if there are Small Dings, Scratches and Rim Rash? We ask for you to be responsible and do your best to avoid these little tiny issues. We understand things are going to happen, but they do hurt the resale value of our cars. We ask you to let us know about the little things that happen to a car and if it is large enough and a big enough issue, we will ask for compensation.

  • What happens if I am Late Picking up the Car or Dropping it off?

    You will need to change your trip details date and time in the app. This will make the times and dates match and verify if the car is available. When picking it up, it will typically be the same instructions you received to pick up the car. If you are going to be late, you could be interfering with the next potential renter. By-law in many states, we have to report the car as missing after 1 hour so we can make sure we are covered, so please make sure you are on time or have changed your trip details.

  • Do I need to Return the Car Washed and Cleaned?

    Yes, it is customary when renting cars out from a car sharing platform, that you return them washed and cleaned and prepared for the next renter.

  • What happens if I put the Wrong Type of Fuel in a Vehicle?

    Most of our cars use Premium Fuel only, if proper fuel is not used you will gum up the catalytic converter which in some of my cars is $2500 to repair. It is very costly if the wrong gas is used and would be at your expense. We will do our best to work it out with your insurance company, but it isn’t often covered.

  • What happens if I get into a Wreck?

    We ask you to text us on the app immediately and we will assist in the proper steps to take. We will make sure we qualify for coverage with your personal insurance company. You will want to call the local police station and get an accident report number. Also, you will need to get a copy of the other party's drivers license and insurance information. After messaging us on the app, you can text me directly at 801-864-1009 or one of my co-host numbers will be inside the glove box.

  • What happens if the Tires look like they Need to be Replaced and I am Concerned?

    We want you to feel safe in our cars. We equip all our cars with all-season tires. We believe these are the most cost-efficient and effective tires on the market especially with the snowy days in Utah. We want you to feel comfortable with the tires on your car. If for any reason, you feel they need to be replaced, we will replace them. We have contracts with several tire locations up and down the Wasatch Front.

  • What Should I know about Insurance and how it Works?

    You should check with your own personal insurance company and make sure you are covered when renting a car from a car sharing company insurance program. We have learned that often there are different rules for car sharing companies with your credit card insurance and with your own personal insurance as we are not a car rental company. You need to make sure you are covered. If there is a problem, we will be contacting your insurance company and working directly with them.

  • Are the Miles for a trip Flexible?

    Yes, you can choose it as an extra for a small fee.

  • What happens if there are Small Dings, Scratches and Rim Rash?

    We ask for you to be responsible and do your best to avoid these little tiny issues. We understand things are going to happen, but they do hurt the resale value of our cars.   • The Car has a Check Engine Light or Tire Pressure Monitor Light on, what happens?

    Before each rental we do all we can to make sure the check engine lights are off and the tire pressure monitors are working and we check them before and after each trip. However, if something does go wrong, we will contact our mechanic and communicate with him what is happening and he will give us direct feedback. 97% of the time the check engine lights are not a problem, and with the different temperatures in Utah, the Tire Pressures Maintenance Lights often go on and off with the change of temperature.

  • If I lock the Keys in the Car or lose the Keys what Happens?

    Most cars need to be towed to the dealership to have computerized machines reprogram the keys to the make and model of the car. So it typically costs a towing fee, a replacement fob, and then a key reprogramming fee. This can be as high as $750 in expenses. Please do not lose or lock keys in the car.

  • Can I have a Delivery to a Personal Location?

    The car can be delivered directly to your address with advance notice.

  • What are the Airport Pick Up and Delivery Options?

    Salt Lake International Airport The cheapest and most common option is you can take the Park n’ Jet shuttle to an off airport parking lot. You could also take a lyft or uber or provide your own transportation to pick up your car at the Park n’ Jet parking lot. It is about 2-3 minute away from the Salt Lake City International Airport. You would choose the Park n’ Jet 2200 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, as your pick up location. This option is the cost of Lyft or Uber or a nice tip to the Park n' Jet shuttle drivers. The most common option to have the car at the airport, is to pick up the car in the airport short term garage parking lot. This parking lot is connected to the airport terminals and is the closest place possible to pick up the car. There will be a small fee as you exit the airport, typically less than $25.00. You would choose Salt Lake City International Airport as your pick up location. This option is $100.00 plus the small exit fee at the airport. You can also have the car delivered to the designated curb that the airport has assigned to Turo. This is the most expensive process. The designated curb Turo has been assigned is a short walk through the airport parking garage and on the west edge of the parking garage. A driver would be waiting for you with the car. He or she will educate you about the car and leave the car and the keys with you. This option will need to be arranged prior to your trip and costs $175.00 If you have booked your car and would like to change your pick up process, you go to the details page on the app and click on the button that says modify trip.   • I accidentally got a Crack in the Windshield. What should I do?

    A couple of options are, you can take it to a local windshield glass shop and return the car as you received it or we can have shops we work with fixing it after the trip. However, you will pay a small convenience fee and up to the cost of the windshield.
