Here's a link to several short (about 30 sec each) support videos you can watch on the Tesla website: https://www.tesla.com/support/model-x-videos You must keep the battery charged between 20% and 90% at all times. FASTEST CHARGING: ALWAYS seek TESLA SUPERCHARGER stations to charge the car as they are the FASTEST. Destination chargers are only useful if you have several hours to leave the car charging. To locate them click on Navigate on the main map screen and type in (or click mic and say): Tesla Superchargers. 1. Time to charge from 30% to 80%: Tesla Supercharger will take about 30 minutes. Destination charger will take about 6 hours. 2. To add about 100 miles of driving range: Tesla Supercharger will take about 15 minutes. Destination charger will take about 3 hours. Tesla Supercharging is NOT FREE. Tesla bills at least $0.28/kwh. Guests will be billed post-trip for the charging costs. Additionally, Supercharger idle fees are up to $1.00/min if the car is plugged in and not actively charging. To AVOID IDLE FEES unplug and move the car within 5 minutes of it completing charge. *rates subject to change. A J1772 charging adapter is included in the car for use at destination charging stations. Guest agrees to pay $125 to replace it if it's missing or damaged. You can use the car's touchscreen or you may download various apps on your phone to help find the nearest J1772 destination charging stations near you: 1. Chargehub 2. Plugshare 3. ChargePoint Some chargers are free, some require you to pay per use. These destination charging stations are located at: beaches, hotels, car dealerships, shopping centers, parking facilities, amusement parks, and more. *charge times vary. Just like in a gasoline car, if you run the battery to 0% (empty), the vehicle will stop dead and you will be stranded and need to have it towed on a flatbed truck, at your expense, to a Tesla Supercharger. This could damage the battery or other components and you may be charged for repair/ replacement. You must return it with between 70%-90% battery remaining, unless you purchased the Prepaid EV Recharge Extra, then you must return it with at least 20% battery. If using a child seat, in order to avoid damaging the seat fabric please put a thick towel/ blanket under the car seat. Buying a Tesla? Guidelines

DO NOT RUN THE CAR DOWN TO 0% BATTERY. Use the vehicle's touchscreen (or Apps or Google) to locate the nearest charging stations. You must keep the battery charged between 20% and 90% at all times. FASTEST CHARGING: ALWAYS seek TESLA SUPERCHARGER stations to charge the car as they are the FASTEST. Destination chargers are only useful if you have several hours to leave the car charging. To add about 100 miles of driving range: Destination chargers will take about 3 hours. Tesla Superchargers will take about 15 minutes. You must return my car with between 70%-90% battery remaining. If returned with 69% or less battery you may be charged per Turo's policy. Just like in a gasoline car, if you run the battery to 0% (empty), the vehicle will stop dead and you will be stranded and need to have it towed on a flatbed truck, at your expense, to a charging station. This could also damage the battery or other components and you could be charged for repair/ replacement. FLORIDA USE ONLY: All of my vehicles are for use only in the state of Florida. Guests are NOT permitted to take my vehicles outside of Florida. ADDITIONAL USAGE: If you are running late or want to keep the vehicle additional hours or days, you may extend the trip on Turo, if possible. A late fee will be charged, per Turo's additional usage policy, if not returned on time. Review my car's Turo listing page for more info including multiple FAQs.

Faqs

  • Can I charge the car at (non-Tesla) destination chargers?

YES, although these are a very slow way to charge the car compared to Tesla Superchargers and should only be used if you can leave the car for several hours. There is an SAE J1772 charging adapter for non-Tesla charging stations included in the car. It's inside the armrest storage compartment. Guest agrees to pay $125 to replace it if it's missing or damaged. You may download these apps to find the nearest J1772 non-Tesla charging stations near you: 1. Chargehub 2. Plugshare 3. ChargePoint. Some are free, some require you to pay per use. These destination charging stations are located at places like: beaches, hotels, shopping malls, grocery stores, gas stations, car dealerships, parking facilities, amusement parks and attractions, and many other places. Use the vehicle's touchscreen (or Apps or Google) to locate the nearest charging stations. Do not run the car down to 0% battery. You must keep the battery charged between 20% and 90% at all times.

  • Is Tesla Supercharging free?

NO, Tesla Supercharging is NOT FREE. Tesla bills at least $0.28/kwh and guests are responsible for paying for all charging fees at the end of rental. Additionally, Supercharger idle fees are up to $1.00/min if the car is plugged in and not actively charging. *rates subject to change. To AVOID IDLE FEES unplug and move the car within 5 minutes of it completing charge. It takes about 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80% on a Tesla Supercharger, this is the FASTEST and best charging option. Use the vehicle's touchscreen (or Apps or Google) to locate the nearest charging stations. Do not run the car down to 0% battery. You must keep the battery charged between 20% and 90% at all times.

  • How do I switch gears; Drive, Reverse, Neutral, and Park?

The right hand driving stick on the steering wheel changes the gears. Drive: Click down and release. Reverse: Click up and release. Neutral: Quick half-click up or down then release. Park: Press and release the silver button on the end of the stick.

  • How do I open the car's charging port?

There are several ways to open the charging port: Inside the Car: On the touchscreen, tap the lightning bolt on the top left side of the touchscreen to display the battery details, then click on Open Charge Port button in top right corner. Charge Port Door: Press the bottom left corner of the door to open it. From the Tesla Supercharger: Unlatch the charger from the charging mount then bring it towards the charging port. Press and hold the button on the charging handle to open the charging port. The car will show it’s charging when the charge port LED changes and you'll see the charging details on the touchscreen. *The charging port door will close itself once you unplug the charging nozzle, or on the touchscreen you can click the button on the battery detail screen to Close Charge Port.

  • How do I locate and use Tesla Superchargers?

No matter where you drive, Tesla's incredible touchscreen display will map out a plentiful amount of Superchargers in your area. Look for the lightning bolt icon on the navigation system and it will show you the nearest charging information. You can also press the right side wheel button on the steering wheel to activate voice commands and say "take me to a Tesla Supercharger", or click on Navigation on the touchscreen and type in Tesla Supercharger, and it will display a few choices. ALWAYS choose a Tesla Supercharger over a destination charger. You must keep the battery charged between 20% and 90% at all times. When you arrive at the Tesla Supercharging Station: 1) Backup into the Tesla Supercharging station parking space. 2) Point the charging nozzle at the charge port door and press the power button on the nozzle and the door will open. 2b) OR press the lightning bolt icon on the touchscreen and press "Open Charge Port." 3) Insert the Tesla charging nozzle into the charge port. 4) The charge port door will close by itself upon removal of the charging nozzle. The center screen will tell you when your charging will be complete. Set an alarm so you can leave the charging station at the time you finish charging. Tesla idle fees are very expensive, up to $1 per minute, so move the car within 5 minutes of completing charge to avoid paying fees.

  • How do I use Autosteer?

To engage Autosteer in Model X and Model S, pull towards you twice on the cruise control stalk on the left of the steering column. A grey steering wheel icon will appear on your display, next to the speedometer, when the system is available to engage. For each route where Navigate on Autopilot is available, you will have the option to activate it by pressing the NAVIGATE ON AUTOPILOT button located in your Navigation Turn List. You can also activate Navigate on Autopilot automatically any time a destination is entered and Autopilot is engaged by adjusting your Navigate on Autopilot settings from Controls > Autopilot > Customize Navigate on Autopilot. On Model X and Model S, Navigate on Autopilot can be engaged on most highways by pulling the cruise stalk toward you, twice in quick succession. It's the smaller lever arm partially hidden on the left side of the steering wheel. *The driver must stay fully attentive, drive safely, and maintain control and responsibility of the car at all times.

  • How do I use Traffic-Aware Cruise Control?

To engage Traffic-Aware Cruise Control in Model X and Model S, pull down once on the cruise control stalk on the left of the steering column. (It's the smaller lever arm partially hidden by the steering wheel.) *The driver must stay fully attentive, drive safely, and maintain control and responsibility of the car at all times.

  • How do I use Auto Lane Change?

To initiate an automated lane change, you must first enable Auto Lane Changes through the Autopilot Controls menu within the Settings tab. Then when the car is in Autosteer, a driver must engage the turn signal in the direction that they would like to move. In some markets depending on local regulations, lane change confirmation can be turned off by accessing Controls > Autopilot > Customize Navigate on Autopilot and toggle ‘Lane Change Confirmation’ off. *The driver must stay fully attentive, drive safely, and maintain control and responsibility of the car at all times.

  • How do I use Autopark?

IMPORTANT: You should remember to be alert and monitor the backup camera view and side view mirrors to check for obstacles. If your car sees a parking spot, a grey 'P' icon will appear on the left or right hand side of your instrument panel, depending on the location of the space. Autopark detects parallel parking locations when driving below 15mph and perpendicular parking locations when driving below 10mph. To use Autopark at that time, press on the brake and shift the gear selector into ‘Reverse.' Keep your foot on the brake. ‘Start Autopark’ will appear in blue text on your touchscreen – press this to start the feature and release the brake and steering wheel. Autopark will then begin to maneuver the vehicle into the parking space by controlling your cars speed, gear changes and steering angle, but you should remember to be alert and monitor the backup camera view to check for obstacles. Once Autopark is complete, the car will let you know it is complete and shift into ‘Park.' You can override Autopark at any time by taking control of the steering wheel. *The driver must stay fully attentive, drive safely, and maintain control and responsibility of the car at all times.

  • How do I open the front (frunk) and rear trunk?

Both can be opened from the touchscreen by tapping on the corresponding buttons. Rear seats can be manually collapsed to create more trunk space. *Front trunk (frunk) is designed to support up to only 55 pounds of weight. So please do not put heavy items in it. **CAUTION: To close the front trunk, see FAQ or owner's manual on how to properly close it without causing damage.

  • How do I connect/ pair my Bluetooth phone?

Calls and music can be connected through Bluetooth. 1. Ensure both the touchscreen and the phone are powered on. 2. On your phone, enable Bluetooth and ensure it is discoverable. 3. Touch the Bluetooth icon on the top right side of the touchscreen. 4. On the touchscreen, touch Add New Device > Start Search. The touchscreen displays a list of all available Bluetooth devices within operating distance. 5. On the touchscreen, touch the phone with which you want to pair. Within a few seconds, the touchscreen displays a randomly generated number, and your phone should display the same number. 6. Check that the number displayed on your phone matches the number displayed on the touchscreen. Then, on your phone, confirm that you want to pair. 7. If prompted on your phone, specify whether you want to allow Model X to access your contacts and media files. *Tesla does not support Apple Carplay or Android Auto.

  • Do I still need to pay attention while using Autopilot?

Yes. Autopilot is a hands-on driver assistance system that is intended to be used only with a fully attentive driver. It does not turn a Tesla into a self-driving car nor does it make a car autonomous. Before enabling Autopilot, you must agree to “keep your hands on the steering wheel at all times” and to always “maintain control and responsibility for the car.”

  • How do I properly close the front trunk (frunk) to avoid damaging it?

The Model X hood is not heavy enough to latch under its own weight and applying pressure on the front edge or center of the hood can cause damage such as a dent or a crease. Do not slam or drop the hood. Do not close the hood with one hand. Use both hands with equal downward pressure to close the hood. To properly close the hood: 1. Lower the hood until the striker touches the latches. 2. Place both hands on the front center of the hood about 4 inches from each side of the T logo, then press down firmly to engage the latches. 3. Carefully try to lift the front edge of the hood to ensure that it is fully closed.

Realign the connector to the charge port and insert fully. • BLINKING AMBER: Model X is charging at a reduced current. • RED: A fault is detected and charging has stopped. Check the touchscreen for a fault message. The charging screen displays on the touchscreen whenever the charge port door is open.

  • What do I do if the car breaks down or I'm in an accident?

Text me with details about the situation. If no reply within 5 minutes, call me. My phone is on 24/7

  • Where is the vehicle registration and insurance paperwork?

    Inside the glove compartment.

  • How much should the battery be charged when I return it?

Unless you purchased the Prepaid EV Recharge Extra, you must return the car with between 70%-90% battery remaining. If returned 69% or less battery you may be charged additional fees, per Turo's policy. Even if you purchased the pre-paid EV recharge Extra, you still must return the car with at least 20% charge to avoid additional fees.

  • Can I use my smartphone to control the car via the Tesla app?

Yes, this is an optional Extra listed under "Portable GPS" that you may choose to add before the start of your trip. You'll download the Tesla app and be able to use your smartphone as a key, lock/unlock, start car, summon and smart summon, climate control, open trunks, honk horn, flash lights, view charge level, and much more! *Requires your email

  • Where's the owner's manual?

The books are located inside the glove compartment, or you can access the manual via the touchscreen by pressing the button marked Manual. Alternatively, you can search the Tesla site, use Google, or these links to find the Model X owner's manual in digital format: https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/JO/model_x_eu_en.PDF https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/model_x_owners_manual_north_america_en.pdf

  • Using Turo Go, how do I check in to start my trip?

Follow the Turo Go check-in instructions on the Turo app to unlock and access the Tesla. You’ll need Wi-Fi or cellular data to check in for your trip. You'll need to take pre-trip photos of the car and upload them on Turo Trip Photos.

  • How long does it take to charge the car?

Using a level 1 home 120 volt standard wall outlet you get about 3 miles per hour of charge. Using a level 2 (J1772) destination 240 volt outlet charger you get about 30 miles per hour of charge. Using a level 3 Tesla Supercharge Station you get about 500+ miles of charge per hour. This is the fastest and best way to charge. To add about 100 miles of driving range: Level 1 will take about 33 hours. Level 2 will take about 3 hours. Level 3 will take about 15 minutes. *charge times will vary.

  • How do I display the odometer/ vehicle mileage?

On the bottom left side of the touchscreen you'll see a car icon, press that icon to display a menu on the screen, at the bottom of that menu it will say Software, click that option to display the car's mileage and other details.

  • Is the speed or performance limited during my trip?

NO. The speed limit mode and valet mode are deactivated. You'll have FULL speed and performance power when driving my car. Some hosts activate these options and greatly limit and reduce the speed and performance of the car. These hosts then charge you a high fee to access the car's full performance. I do not charge you a fee nor limit the car's speed or performance.  Even though my car is very quick and fast, please drive it safely and responsibly and abide by all laws.

  • Why display battery percentage instead of mileage range?

Displayed percentage of battery remaining is based on your driving habits and environment. Displayed mileage range is based on fixed government EPA test data under optimal conditions and NOT on your personal driving patterns.  Therefore mileage displayed is NOT as accurate as percentage of battery remaining. Similar as in your gas car, the fuel gauge displays percentage; E, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, F, not your EPA estimated mileage remaining based on your window sticker. Think of it like your cell phone, it displays battery %, not the number of minutes you can talk.  ALWAYS keep the Tesla battery charged between 20% and 90%

  • What if the battery drops between 0% and 20%?

The car may enter info a low-power consumption mode to conserve the remaining battery power and divert that power to only essential items. The car's top priority will be to safely get you to a charging station.  In this mode, the battery may stop supporting the onboard electronics, climate controls, and all non-essential functions, as well as reducing the acceleration and limiting the speed.  Just like in a gasoline car, if you run the battery to 0% (empty), the vehicle will stop dead and you will be stranded and need to have it towed on a flatbed truck, at your expense, to a charging station. This could damage the battery or other components and you may be charged for repair/ replacement. ALWAYS keep the Tesla battery charged between 20% and 90%

  • What is the FASTEST way to CHARGE the car?

ALWAYS seek TESLA SUPERCHARGER stations to charge the car as they are the FASTEST. Destination chargers are only useful if you have several hours to leave the car charging. 1. Time to charge from 30% to 80%: Tesla Supercharger will take about 30 minutes. Destination charger will take about 6 hours. 2. To add about 100 miles of driving range: Tesla Supercharger will take about 15 minutes. Destination charger will take about 3 hours.

  • How do I use Smart Summon?

Alternatively, tap the target icon, set the target destination of your choice by adjusting the map, and then press and hold the GO TO TARGET button. You can stop your car from driving at any time by releasing the button. Smart Summon works with your Tesla app and your phone’s GPS to operate. You must be within approximately 200 feet of your car to use.

  • How do I use Summon?

Model X and Model S owners can use Summon with their key fob by holding the center of the key fob for three seconds until the car’s hazard lights come on, and then pressing either the frunk or trunk button on key fob to Summon forwards and backwards respectively. Summon can also be used from the Tesla app.

  • How do I open and close the doors?

On the touchscreen you'll see the display showing buttons you can press to open and close each door and the front and rear trunks. On the key fob you can double click the side button to open the falcon wing door on that same side. And click on the fobs front / rear to open the corresponding trunks. There are also door handles to open the front doors from the inside. Then you can softly close the doors and they will pull shut tight themselves. The falcon wing doors have a button on the edge of the door you can press to close them. And from the inside by the side of the door, you can click the button to open the doors.

  • How do I use the Model X key fob buttons?

Think of the key fob as a miniature version of Model X, with the Tesla badge representing the front. The key has three buttons on the top that feel like softer areas on the surface, and a metal button on each side representing the falcon wing doors. Single-click the roof on the fob to lock all doors and the rear trunk. Double-click to unlock them. Double-click the corresponding side of the fob to open/close the associated falcon wing door. Double-click the front or rear trunk on the fob to open the corresponding trunk. The key fob will need to be inside the car when you want to start and drive the car.

  • If I drive fast will it deplete the battery quicker?

Yes. The faster you drive the more fuel (battery) you will use. Similar to gas cars, driving distance will vary based on your driving habits, climate, terrain, speed, and other factors.

  • What does (FSD) Full Self Driving include?

FSD is a $10,000 upgrade and includes: Navigate on Autopilot (Beta): Actively guides your car from a highway’s on-ramp to off-ramp, including suggesting lane changes, navigating interchanges, automatically engaging the turn signal and taking the correct exit. Auto Lane Change: Assists in moving to an adjacent lane on the highway when Autosteer is engaged. Autopark: Helps automatically parallel or perpendicular park your car, with a single touch. Summon: Moves your car in and out of a tight space using the mobile app or key. Smart Summon: Your car will navigate more complex environments and parking spaces, maneuvering around objects as necessary to come find you in a parking lot. Traffic and Stop Sign Control (Beta): Identifies stop signs and traffic lights and automatically slows your car to a stop on approach, with your active supervision.

  • Why did the battery slightly drain while the car was parked overnight?

This is called phantom/ vampire battery drain. Depending on multiple vehicle settings, how actively you you access the vehicle, and if the vehicle is parked directly in the hot sun (cabin overheat protection), it will randomly cycle and pre-condition itself and slowly drain the battery anywhere from about 1% to 10% per day. This is normal. The more the car stays awake and out of sleep mode, the more the battery will drain. This is another reason to always keep the battery at least 20% charged, especially if leaving the car parked overnight or for an extended period of time. You do not want to return to the car to discover it now has a dead battery and needs towed to a charging station.

DO NOT book TPA, instead book this location next to TPA: Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa Airport Avion Park Westshore, 5329 Avion Park Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 (Exact same delivery and handoff process) Being that Tesla's are 100% EV (electric vehicle, no gas) I recommend you familiarize yourself with how to operate the vehicle including how to locate and use charging stations. https://www.tesla.com/supercharger See below FAQs and go to the Tesla website for information as well as search Google or YouTube to learn.

A blue steering wheel icon will appear on your display, next to the speedometer, when Autosteer is engaged. *The driver must stay fully attentive, drive safely, and maintain control and responsibility of the car at all times.

  • How do I use Navigate on Autopilot?

To engage this feature, you must first enable Autosteer by going to Controls > Autopilot > Autosteer - then enable the Navigate on Autopilot feature.

  • What do the different colored charge port lights indicate?

    • WHITE: The charge port door is open. • BLUE: Model X detects that a connector has been plugged in. • BLINKING BLUE: Model X is communicating with the connector. • BLINKING GREEN: Charging is in progress. • SOLID GREEN: Charging is complete. • SOLID AMBER: The connector is not fully plugged in. Realign the connector to the charge port and insert fully. • BLINKING AMBER: Model X is charging at a reduced current. • RED: A fault is detected and charging has stopped. Check the touchscreen for a fault message. The charging screen displays on the touchscreen whenever the charge port door is open.

  • How do I close the rear trunk door?

There's a power button you press on the top right side of the hatch that will automatically close the trunk door or you can use the touchscreen to close or open the trunk.
