Car was very nice, and was an excellent value. However, the drop off had me a little nervous, as the host wanted me to cancel the trip, once my girlfriend and I landed in Seattle, while we were waiting for him to drop it off. He wanted us to cancel because he was worried about payment, although the trip on both of our ends on the turo app was just fine. After a slight heart attack, he dropped it off and we were well on our way. The first impression of the vehicle was that it was very clean on the outside and it was very nice on the inside. However, it was a little dirty, not terrible, but it was clear that the host had not attempted to clean the car prior to dropping it off. As a host, they are supposed to “sanitize” the vehicle before every trip, and there’s no way the host did this. Moreover, he requested that I, the guest, clean out his car upon return. I obliged, because that is the sort of person I am, but ultimately it is the hosts responsibility to clean the car, not the guests. (Unless its excessively dirty, in which case, the host may request a payment for cleaning). On the drop off, I was a little early, and the plan was to meet at the airport to exchange keys. The host property is about 10 min away, in Renton. We initially planned on meeting at the airport at 11 AM. However, we were a little early, and we were now going to get to the airport around 10:15, a measly 45 min early. The host did not like this, and questioned us for returning so early and not at the agreed time. In order to prevent any confrontation, I agreed to meet him at his house, because apparently him driving 10 min away is the worst thing in this guys life. It is important to note, I paid an extra 100 dollars for airport drop off and pick up, and even when he dropped off, I still gave him 20 dollars cash and I had to catch an uber from his house to the airport, at my expense. He did offer a ride to the airport, but I did not want to complicate things further. It is important to note that the car was excellent and drove very well. My only complaint is the hosts professionalism as well as the car’s cleanliness.
