The good: - Host is extremely friendly, easy to communicate with, and very responsive - Car is spectacular, as you'd expect from a 2021 Model Y The bad: The car was filthy. I sent several photos to Turo documenting: used plastic spoon on the floor; lots of dirt on floor (that needed vacuuming); remains of dead bugs on the windshield, making it hard to see; discarded masks on the side of the door; the touchscreen had a layer of dust on it, as did the top console; and outside the car needed a wash. On the second day when I drove into the sun, the windshield became even harder to see through as the inside had a weird haze in it. I had to buy a bottle of WD-40 to try to get some of the bugs out and a bottle of Windex to clean the inside of the windshield. Now some context: regular cars (from Avis, Budget) for this time period were about $1,000. I paid a 50% premium, or $1,500, for the privilege of driving this car. The LEAST I expected was a clean car. I brought this up with Turo's customer service, which was completely useless. So the only recourse I have is to air it here. Turo offered me a $50 reimbursement for the cleaning products, if I produced a receipt, which is frankly ridiculous given that the ENTIRE car should have been spotless and I could barely get the bugs out with just WD-40 and a wipe. Plus the time spent shopping for those items, trying to clean these parts of the car, etc., after I paid a 50% premium. Just ridiculous. But Turo doesn't see it this way. The only way Turo works is if the guest (me) has trust that the host will offer a car that's clean. Trust successfully broken!

Hi Marcelo, as you said, I am always responsive with any problems and issues. Unfortunately, this is the first time I heard these concerns until you leave the reviews here. Is that because you are requesting for a 30% discount on the trip for just cleaning the window? The truth is that the car left to be extremely dirty and full of bugs, my charging port is broken! My window shield fluid is running out. The haze is not due to bugs on window but the diff of temp between inside outside.
