It delivers its power in a silky, linear fashion under most driving conditions and returns solid fuel economy relative to its power rating. The eight-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly and unobtrusively, although you need to set the X1 in Sport mode to feel its full potential. People like Hoa should not be allowed to rent out their cars on Turo. He tried to force us to pay a cleaning fee without reading the terms and conditions of the rental agreement which clearly state that the fee can only be charged if the car is returned in unreasonably dirty condition which is defined as needing more than a wash and vaccuum. I had to dispute the claim which he then escalated to Turo who thankfully took my side and rejected his claim. This type of nickel and diming is bad for the turo community and creates the wrong impression especially for new Turo renters

I rented the BMWX1 2017 from Lux Rentals/Hoa. First time using Turo in fact first time ever renting a car. At pick up I took pictures of the car I unfortunately didn’t do a walk around with person who handed me keys. Went straight home didn’t drive until late afternoon. The drive was completely different from earlier. Tire pressure lights came on & driving wasn’t feeling comfortable. I wasn’t far from Lux Rentals a 5min drive. When I got there I was greeted by Kevin. He checked out the car & found a nail on front tire. He tried helping me to book another car but unfortunately the Turo app wasn’t loading any of their available cars. I ended up having to book with another host. Kevin drove me & my family to other host. He waited with us until an employee showed up. Definitely went above & beyond. I really appreciate his kindness, care, & concern. I went over pics I took & pics taken by person who gave me car I noticed that the nail was already in tire before I received keys. I called host Hoa who apologized for the inconvenience also taking responsibility for car being released in that condition. Hoa also refunded gas & tire repairs. Another example of their great customer service & Hoa being a great host! I look forward to booking here again :) I highly recommend booking your next trip with Hoa at Lux Rentals!
