The only thing better than traveling around Arizona in a Jeep is ... Well, nothing. You'll love it You, "That all sounds great, but I have more questions!" Well you're in luck, we have answers!! Q: I'm flying into Phoenix, I'll be tired and maybe a bit cranky. Can I pick up the car at the airport? A: Yes! Make sure you select Airport Delivery and from the moment you book, we'll be in regular communication to make sure all details are covered so you can relax and check one more thing off your planning list. When you exit the parking garage at the airport, you will have a charge of up to $16 you will be responsible for. Q: I smoke, will that be a problem? A: Yes! The Jeep is extremely sensitive to smoke and has been known to become quite irritable in the presence of smoking. If there is even the slightest hint of cigarette smell, we will charge a $300 fee. Q: Are you flexible on pick-up / drop-off times? A: Absolutely, as long as I am informed ahead of time. Sometimes I have back to back rentals, so please keep me in the loop if you need to extend the rental or can’t return the car on time. Q: I have a question that you weren't smart enough to pre-answer, is there any hope for me? A: No... unless you message me, in which case I will DEFINITELY get your question answered. Please don't ask me for marriage advice or how to parent a teenager. This was my first time using Turo. Ken made it very easy and frictionless to grab, go, enjoy, and return. Much preferred to a normal car rental service.

This was my first rental on Turo, and it wasn’t quite what I expected as far as standard of the vehicle. We arrived during a rain storm/flash flood warning and discovered the vehicle needed some maintenance such as new wiper blades and wiper fluid. The wipers did not work well and didn’t help much with visibility. The spare tire had noticeably more tread than the tires in use and when driving on the highway at those speeds you could feel vibration that as a Jeep owner wasn’t the norm. The vehicle fabric wasn’t as clean as normal rentals and could use a detailing to also aid with a refreshing smell since it was stale. Overall the check in and check out process was very smooth and we had no issues. Ken provided great detailed instructions that made the process hassle free. Lastly, I was charged $50 for a “smoke odor fee”. Apparently Ken was present when the vehicle was returned 3 hours early before my check-out time and observed a couple of the passengers smoking outside of the vehicle. I’m not sure how the vehicle had a “severe smoke odor” when no one smoked in the vehicle and the incident he observed happened while in the parking lot with vehicle doors closed and windows up while waiting to shuttle back to the airport. For reference it was weed and driving/riding in the vehicle after smoking at our home wasn’t even considered for safety and odor reasons. I feel if there truly was a “severe smoke odor” I would’ve been charged more than $50 to repair that considering how that repair probably would require a detailing job had there actually been smoking in the car during our 5 day rental. During the dispute of the charge is when Ken informed he witnessed the pick up and drop off. Considering he was already present, I would’ve much preferred to do a physical inspection together to eliminate this type of disagreement. As a new Turo member unbeknownst to me, I did not add additional drivers on the account as necessary, which was mentioned during our dispute about the smoking charges since he saw someone else driving during the pick-up and drop-off. I would have much rather been charged for something I actually admitted to him doing, than going out of my way to respect his property and still be charged for an odor that wasn’t present in the vehicle. All in all, the lack of truth with the charge was the most upsetting, despite the Jeep not meeting my expectations.

Ken communication was very effective even if it seemed strange “So happy to see you” lol you’ll get that if you book with him. There were some minor concerns I shared with Ken, but I am confident that he will address them so the next person will have an even greater experience. Overall we had a great experience cruising through Arizona in a Jeep.

Had a great time in Arizona! Great host/vehicle with unlimited mileage, we were able to explore without worry of extra fees, truly the deciding factor when booking. Pick up is a breeze, Host is great about sending detailed messages for easy pick up / drop off. Only reason not a 5 star, key box gave us a hard time when locking it back upon drop off (very easy to pick up) & if you have an up to date iPhone bring your converter jack. Jeep has just an aux cord, we didn’t think to bring ours and ended up buying one when we arrived.
