Such a nice car and nice experience

The experience with the host has deterred me from using Turo ever again. Horrible communication and being given the car 45 minutes late past the pick-up time. This is my first time writing a review as I feel compelled to share the lack of respect and care from the host. I booked this trip 9 hours last minute before pick-up time due to unforeseen circumstances. The host first said he was unable to do the time I booked then a few hours later agreed to the time. I arrived to pick-up the car before 8AM. When it was past 8AM, I didn't hear anything from the host. Rather, I see him taking the car for a carwash across him me. Again, no contact. When I finally saw him around 8:10, he was assisting another customer during my pick-up and said he would be right with me. Right after that, he completely disappeared into the abyss and didn't return till 30 minutes later. Upon finally arriving, I expressed I would have appreciated if he could have communicated that he would be long and not arriving at 8AM as the pick-up time is. I would have gladly booked elsewhere. As soon as I expressed this, I was met with utter disregard and disrespect towards time and money. He attempted to blame it on the fact that I booked late and needed to get the car ready. However, assisting another customer during my pick-up time and with the interior being dirty doesn't hold true to that. I requested that I would drop-off the car the next day at the same time he hands me the keys. He was completely rude and disrespectful during our interaction and did not want to be held accountable for his lack of communication and tardiness. He did not seem apologetic and even had the nerve to call me "unappreciative" to deflect from his own actions. I missed an event at 9AM because of him. If he was unable to do make the booking, then please communicate that. Beware of hosts like this to save your valuable time and money.

No good deed goes unpunished. Renter sent request in the middle of the night - booking was not confirmed because payment did not go though. Trip was not confirmed by Turo until next morning when payment method was finally approved. We initially declined due to timing but as courtesy approved due to guest in a bind. This left us with a few min to get car to guest. We even gave guest additional hr to return she took 2 hrs. This was still apparently not enough. Difficult and unreasonable guest.

Michael was very responsive. Drop off and pick up was super easy. Only thing was the car smelled like smoke which was a little disappointing but other than that trip was great and would recommend.
