Faqs

  • How much did you electricity bill go up when you got a Tesla?

    About $29 a month

  • *Ticket fee incidental info* Parking costs at your pick-up & drop-off locations.

Delivery is free within 25 miles, but please bear in mind you will be charged after the trip for any parking costs accrued based on the pick-up & drop-off requested. I will of coordinate these locations with you on the day before your trip to ensure you don't have any last minute changes

  • *EV Charging Incidental info(Tesla Supercharging & idle charger fees only)* How do I charge it?

Below is a quick crash course on the 3 different types of ways you charge a Tesla. Typically the distance & frequency you travel will determine the way you charge your car. 1. Home charging (Best), Charge rate 5 - 30 (45 with a Tesla wall charger) miles per hour. If you own a Tesla 99.9% of the time this is how you charge your car, because the best part of owning a one of these is you plug it in before you go to bed, & you will wake-up to a full battery everyday. If you are renting a home during your trip (e.g. Air BNB), & it has a dryer plug less than 20 feet from where you park, you may be able utilize this type of charging during your time. To support this in the trunk (under the false bottom) you will find a Tesla gen2 Mobile charger every type US plug possible (NEMA 5-15; 10-30; 14-30; & 14-50). 2. Destination charging (Great), Charge rate 10-30 miles per hour. Plugshare.com has an app that allows you to lookup all destination chargers in your area, you will find these at charging stations hotels & apartment operate for free. The universally accepted adapter for a destination charger is called a CHAdeMo (J1772). To convert that into Tesla charger port, you will need to find an adapter in trunk to allow that you clip on to the tip of the charger, then plug it into your Tesla after that. 3.Finally Super Charging (good), Charge rate 1000 miles per hour. This one is most like a gasoline refueling so you use it when you don't have time to charge overnight and/or you need you travel a distance longer than the maximum range of the car. It is the most expensive option because it is pay per use (after your rental is complete I will charge you one incidental charge equal to all the supercharging fees incurred during your rental. Superchargers are displayed on the map as numbers equal to the stall available at them. To get the most out of this charging you want to start charging the car when it gets to 30% then stop it at 80% charge. if you do that it should less than 15 minutes, costs $5/10 (peak/off-peak) then you are back on your way. Lastly, if you are not leaving right after you finish charging it is important to disconnect and move out of the stall as soon as the charging is complete (IF not Tesla retains the ability to charge a $1 per minute idle penalty fee")

  • *Toll incidental info* How will I pay tolls during my rental?

This car is equipped with a SunPassPro device which will let you automatically pay your tolls (& some parking). Seven days after your trip is complete you will receive an incidental for all the charges accrued during your time with the car.
