Description

This is the car I take on my own adventures. I hope you'll treat it with the care and respect that I do. Great for adventures, camping, snow, and hauling gear and people. Tons of room in the trunk. All 3 back seats come down separately for different needs. I've often fit 4-5 people and all the suitcases we need (with a full trunk) for a weekend trip or a few less people and more gear. I installed a roof rack with crossbars recently, so can carry gear there if you want. I may have straps if you ask. Easy parallel parking in the city. Even with the large cargo capacity and roomy cabin, it is less long than some sedans, so you can fit in some tight parking spots. And the backup camera makes that a breeze. The Bose sound system results in some great tunes while you're driving around. Just a super comfy car. AWD equipped with "snow tires" (really they're quality all season tires but they are M+S rated so according to the law they're snow tires and you don't need chains, but still drive slow in the snow), so great for driving to chain control areas. Remember, AWD doesn't help you stop faster, it only helps you keep traction in other situations. For extra cargo space, remove the passenger headrest, recline it back all the way, and then drop all the back seat over it. This can allow you to put longer items like a 9ft surfboard inside the car. With the back seats dropped it can fit 1 bike inside if you don't want to take it apart, or a few if you take the wheels off. I have a bike rack for 2 you can use on request, but it doesn't do well with heavy bikes.

Parking details

Please park on the street and make sure there is no street cleaning for at least 24 hours. There are usually spots on Filbert right there.

Guidelines

One rule, please treat the car as you would treat your own car. Also no smoking and no pets (unless you have a pet cover and you're confident you can return the car spotless with zero pet hair).

Faqs

  • Can I charge my phone or play music through a phone in the car?

I leave phone cables (iPhone, Android, aux input) in my car for convenience, but people sometimes steal them. I may have replaced it, but I cannot guarantee that people won't steal it again and then your rental comes up without me noticing. At least no one has stolen my aux input jack, so if you have a phone with an audio jack you can still use that. If you have your own cable, there is a USB jack inside the armrest to plug in, but it charges pretty slowly.

  • Do I need chains in snow control areas?

Nope! This car has AWD (all wheel drive) and M+S (aka snow tires) rated all season tires. You can drive right by chain control. Please do not put chains on this vehicle. Remember to drive slow in the snow. AWD does not give the car super stopping powers, it just helps for traction in other situations.

This was a great vehicle to get the family out of the City for a quick weekend camping trip. Dylan was a responsive and wonderful guide for our first Turo experience. Highly recommended!

Beautiful car, hard to find parking in the neighborhood when returning it though.

Quick and easy. And a comfortable, feature full ride.

The car was comfortable and Dylan was communicative and nice. The only reason for not giving five stars is the interior was dirty- visible dirt on seats (perhaps old/stained?) but also hair on the seats, etc. Other than that everything was as expected. Great car to take for putting your gear and going off to enjoy an outdoor adventure.

Dylan's response

Thanks for the feedback. My upholstery is not new and may look darker with some old stains. This is from normal wear and tear and is barely noticeable IMO. I apologize if I missed a spot and there was hair.
