Description

New 2121 Tesla Model Y Long Range. This car has the Full Self Driving Package from Tesla, however, you MUST still pay attention, it is still not perfect! If your thinking about buying one, defiantly try renting it first and see how you like it. This thing is fast, 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds. It is a little smaller than the model X and a bit bigger than the model 3. If you have driven a Model 3 before this will be almost identical. It is a great family vehicle. The Storage in the front is unique to electric vehicles, and there is a deep storage well in the back behind the seats, the seats also fold down to create even more space! Phone charging: The center console does have wireless charger, if that doesn't work there is 2 USB C ports in the center console and 2 more by the rear air vents. I also have a standard USB adapter in the armrest along with a Lightning cord and a USB C cord, please leave them with the car. Charging: In the storage compartment in the back you will find the Tesla wall charger so you can plug it into any grounded outlet. If you want a quicker charge there is hundreds of chargers throughout Oregon. You can find these chargers using the touch touch screen in the center of the Plug Share app. You will be able to charge at any J1772 plug with the adapter in the charger bag. It is your responsibility to check what charging infrastructure is available during your trip. The Tesla’s dash board will help you find super chargers. I recommend the plug share app for all other chargers. Super Charging:Tesla super chargers, available if you are on a road trip, however, those are not free, the prices very and are still cheaper than gas. NOTE: once the car is fully charged you will be charged an idle fee if you do not move it from the Super charger this can be up $1 a minute so please be aware of the progress. When you navigate to a supercharger from the Tesla screen it will tell you how many chargers are available and how much that charger cost. I will be billed for the charge (not much) and any idle fees, I will invoice you for the charges after the trip. It can go a total of 326 miles on a charge from 0-100%. Please keep it between 10-90% If you get locked out of the car or have any issues please let me know right away, don't hesitate to reach out!

Bike rack

Bring up to four bikes on your trip. The bike rack will be installed on the back of the car prior to your trip. Be alert and know this could throw off the cars rear sensors. Don’t use auto park or smart summons with the bike rack on.

$30/trip4 available

Prepaid EV recharge

Save time and make dropoff a breeze by adding this Extra, which allows you to return my car without fully recharging. Please return with at least 30 miles of range or you will be billed $150

$25/trip

Post-trip cleaning

Return the car hassle free, without worrying about cleaning up after your trip. Does not cover upholstery cleaning, spills, tears, stains, pet hair, or smoke removal.

$40/trip

Guidelines

Smoking is not allowed at all, you will be invoiced to have the car fully detailed if there is any sign of smoke to include marijuana. Keep the car above 20% when parked. If you do go below 20% find a charger as soon as possible or plug in over night. The car does not self regulate itself and the security system stops working when it’s under 20% EVs are different than internal combustion engines. If the car becomes dead it must be towed to a Tesla service center for repair. This is a very expensive process. Do not let the car die.

Faqs

  • How do I pay for charging?

If you are using the Tesla super chargers I will be billed directly, I will than invoice you for the cost at the end of your trip. If you want to charge at another network's charger you will have to pay directly to them in order to charge, most chargers outside of Tesla will be the J1772 (adapter located in the back of the model Y)

  • What is the quickest way to charge?

Tesla branded supercharger, the center screen navigation will show you where these are at, how many are available, and how much they cost.

  • How do I clean the car?

There is a monthly membership included with the car to Washman Autospa, they are located all over the Portland area. Please return it clean unless you purchased the post trip cleaning.

  • How do I find a place to charge?

If you have a 110V plug were you are staying you can plug in over night, however, this could take longer than 24 hours. I recommend using the plug share app. It will help you find chargers in the area chances are you will need to use the J1772 plug adapter in the back of the car. Some chargers you may have to call ahead, please plan ahead before your trip so you know where you are going to charge.

This was my first time using Turo and my experience with Banjamin’s car was better than I could have ever asked for. The pickup and drop off were both seamless, the car was spotless and was a pleasure to drive, Benjamin was quick to respond to all of my questions with helpful answers. I really couldn’t have asked for a better car rental experience!
