🧼🚘 Vehicle Cleaning: While not required by Turo, you can help by returning the car as clean as you received it. Please remove any loose trash, give it a quick vacuum and run it through the car wash (brushless preferably). 🚫🚫 No Off-Roading. This car does not have the ground clearance and any damage done to the underbody can easily destroy the vehicle due to the location of the batteries. Your Turo coverage does not cover off-roading. 🚭 Please don't smoke or vape...anything. And please don't smoke/vape around the car while the doors or windows are open, the smell still gets in the car. 🚫 Please do not tow...yes there's a tow hitch, but it is for bike racks only. 🐕 Dogs allowed if selected as an add-on. No cats please. 🪫 Please don't let the battery drop below 20%, it reduces the overall life of the battery and it may not charge the 12v battery when below 20%. Thanks!

• Can I bring my dog?

  For an extra cleaning fee of $75, you can bring your furry friend. Please be sure to select it as an "extra add-on". * If you are allergic to dogs, you may want to select another vehicle. While I make a strong effort to get every hair and use an ozone machine after dogs are in the vehicle, highly sensitive people may still notice it.

• What is the range?

  This can vary greatly...it depends on your driving habits, what mode the regeneration is on, temperature, how much weight is in the car, mountains, etc, etc. Typical range can be 150-300 miles. I find if I drive it like a “normal” car I can get 225-275 miles on average during the summer and about 150-200 during the winter. To get the best range: -> Drive in ECO mode (Drive mode can be changed on the button on the steering wheel). -> Keep the car warm by keeping it in a garage if possible. Use the seat heaters and keep the temperature at 70 or below. Cold temperatures and heater use decrease range the most. -> Keep your speed down. Ideal max speed is 65mph. -> Use the onboard navigation to the nearest fast charger…This will automatically start the battery preconditioning for faster charging.

• How do I charge the car?

  You may have to download a charger's app in order to use a fast charger. We would also recommend downloading the app "Plug Share" in order to find the nearest charging station. The charging port is located in the rear of the vehicle on the passenger side. To open, press the embossed spot on the charge port cover (the car must be unlocked for this to work). You can also open it using the key fob. For Level I & Level II Charging, a "J-1772" Plug is used. Simply open the charging port and plug in. For Level III (Fast Charging), a CCS plug is used. Open the charging port and take out the protective cover below the J-1772 Outlet. Plug in and start charging using the chargers app or the credit card terminal. Charging Times to charge from 10%-80%: Level I: Slowest, can take up to 2-3 days. Level II: Often Free in city centers, can take 6-8 hours. Level III: Fastest, but will require payment. Charge in as little as 18 minutes depending on the charger’s capabilities and temperature of the batteries.

• *Do I have to charge the car to 100% before returning?

  No, you can return the car at any charge level at no cost. If you could return with at least 10%, that would be ideal.

• ** Charging tip for cold weather!

  If needing a fast charger, put the destination charger in the car’s GPS. This will warm the battery to prep it for fast charging. If you don’t and it’s cold out, fast charging can take 3-10 times longer.

• How many miles are included?

  You get 200 miles per day. Any mileage above that has a fee charged at Turo’s current rate. I am strict on this and will charge for overage as mileage is a major cost with vehicle depreciation and wear.
