Please upload a photo of your drivers license to trip photos 2. Not impressed with this car rental. First, I paid $120 fee for delivery. Host decided to leave the car parked on a side street by the Hyatt at the Airport. The walk took us through a sketchy area where we did not feel safe. Once we found the car, we had to feel around for the hide-a-key. While doing so, LAPD came up on us and we had to explain what we were doing and show them the app. Embarrassing and scary for someone not from the city and who was taking their first flight ever. We shrugged it off and remained positive. Second issue was the car itself. It reeked of weed. My husband got a headache from the smell and the Host attempted to hide the smell by hanging 4 air fresheners from the rear view mirror and stuffing others under the seats. While having the car for 5 days, we didn’t have any mechanical issues. My app notifications had been turned off so I did not see where the Host had attempted to ask how our trip was going. Upon our time to turn the car back in, I arrived at the location where I had picked it up from 16 minutes prior to the end of the rental. I opened my app and found where the Host had informed me we would be dropping the car off at another location. I apologized for not seeing her previous messages and then headed to the new location. Prior to our arrival to the new location, we took the car through a car wash and vacuumed it out. We found the parking garage that was a 8 minute drive away from LAX according to my GPS at the time. We parked the car with the parking voucher the Host sent to me. I took pictures of everything according to the app which shows that the car was clean and that there was not any damage to the car. This is where the third issue came into play. We followed the signs for the shuttle and had to wait 15 minutes before we found the person driving the shuttle. We then boarded and had another 15 minute ride to the airport because the driver had to pick up other passengers and make drop offs at other terminals. We were rushed to check in and go through security because we were now 45 minutes past the time we wanted to arrive at the airport and it was an additional hassle. Lastly, we boarded our flight and were on the way home. Midway through our flight, I get a notification of $154 in additional fees. I load the pictures and find that the Host claims the car was not clean and that there were a few stains. Upon inspection of these ‘stains’ I find that the stains were there before we rented the car. I took a screenshot of the Host’s own pictures from the pre-trip inspection and zoomed in on the said stain. I circled the stain and sent it back to the Host. I informed her that I would not pay the additional fee. I am thankful that I waited to leave my review since the Host appeared to be very genuine and polite. However, I feel as though she is using stains that were already in the car to collect additional money. I am leaving a 2-star review because of a few reasons. I feel that the pickup and drop off was complicated and not what I expected when I chose delivery. I assumed we would have the car at the airport and not have to walk through a sketchy area at midnight upon our arrival. The car smelled horrible from weed and the Host made bogus claims after the fact. Please beware when renting this car.

This renter left my vehicle without letting me know he was checking out. Upon first inspection of the vehicle, it was clear that he had managed to get into an accident/sustained significant front bumper & headlight damage to the vehicle without ever letting me know. The car also reeks of marijuana. All in the course of a rental that lasted less than a day. Now I am having to deal with the hassle of pursuing a claim against him for the damages sustained, which will result in loss of business.
