I’d chosen Turo vs. other providers due to the best price offer, in the end paying $138/day (insurance, cleaning, taxes, fees included) for Mercedes GLA is not the best offer at all but I decided to give it a try and take it as a holiday treat. Unfortunately the car was not maintained well (poor quality for 2018 version) and I didn’t enjoy driving it although it’s been one of my favorite models for a long time. Other issues I had with cleaning - I saw pieces of food, hair, coins, parking tickets. I have doubts it was cleaned after the previous guests and not according to Covid guidelines for sure. Side mirrors were all blurry so I had to stop at the first parking and clean it. Alejandro, the host, is not very communicative but it’s ok as long as there are no other issues. He didn’t wear a face mask. That’s important in my opinion. looks like he is running a big business on Turo and meet many customers every day. I think it’s unprofessional and disrespectful, especially nowadays (Dec 2020) Also please be aware, check-in takes place in the parking lot with a low light and most of the trash I didn’t notice there but immediately saw on a daylight.
