Speed Limit Details: All Teslas are set to Chill Mode and an 80 MPH speed limit. Elite Car Rental does this because the acceleration on EVs can be difficult for a lot of drivers, and our worst accidents have all occurred with customers where the EV did not have this limitation. We can remove the Chill Mode restriction, but we do require a copy of additional insurance beyond Turo’s insurance and a liability waiver to be signed.
