Use your MBUX navigation system to find chargers. Search for chargers by clicking the EQ icon in the top left of the headunit screen. Select “Charging Stations” A listing of chargers will be displayed along with the ability to filter by the type of charger (click the filter icon next to “In the Vicinity”). Select your desired charging location. Press “Let’s Go” and let the MBUX navigation will guide you on the fastest route. Note: these instructions apply to all Mercedes-EQ models except EQB. Plug the charging cable into the socket of your Mercedes-EQ vehicle. You will hear a mechanical click. This click confirms that the cable is in correctly. Your charging session will now begin.
You Only Have to Charge When You'll Need It In fact, keeping the battery at 100 percent is actually bad for it. Very high (and also very low) state of charge (SOC) for a battery creates stress and shortens a battery's lifespan. This is why it's a smart idea to aim for an SOC between 30 and 80 percent.
Important Information About Complimentary Charging Sessions Unlimited DC Fast Charging at Electrify America Every battery electric Mercedes-EQ model includes unlimited 30-minute complimentary DC fast charging sessions with Electrify America This service requires successful registration of Mercedes me Charge and only applies to DC Fast Charging. Each complimentary session is capped at 30 minutes and requires a 1-hour break in between charging sessions.
