Please note: The HOME Lihue location is our "home office" location. Although you can pickup and drop off a vehicle here, this location does NOT have the airport pickup and drop off shuttle. You will be responsible for coordinating and paying for your own transportation to and from the lot. If you are looking to utilize Turo's airport shuttle services to get to your vehicle, be sure you select the Lihue Airport Option. We also offer drop off and pick up at almost any location on the island. Please see our list of hotel options, as well as the ability to deliver directly to your location if you do not see your hotel on the list

NO OFF-ROADING - This is extremely important! We need to offer a safe vehicle to all our guests. Off-roading compromises the integrity of the vehicle and should there be damages, force us to de-list the vehicle while they are being remediated. This includes Polihale. NO SMOKING OR VAPING - yes, even vaping! The smells they leave behind can be difficult to remove. Not only is this our personal vehicle, but we also try to respect any sensitivities our subsequent guests may have. If you smoke or vape, we will be forced to remove the vehicle from service until we remediate the smell. NO PETS - Pet fur/dander is tricky to remove and subsequent guests could have allergies. RETURN THE CAR WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS (unless you chose the $120 prepaid fuel option) AND THE INTERIOR CLEAR OF TRASH OR EXCESS SAND This vehicle takes regular unleaded. We recommend Costco for the best prices. There is also a car wash with vacuums next to Costco. If you leave the car excessively dirty/sandy a cleaning fee will be assessed. No need to wash the exterior. DO NOT DROP THE CAR OFF IN AIRPORT PARKING Due to airport rules, TURO hosts are prohibited from parking rentals at the airport. Not only will TURO’s incorrect drop-off fee be assessed, but also guests will be responsible for any applicable parking expenses, tickets or tow fees come if they come in to play. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND. THIS IS OUR PERSONAL VEHICLE, AS WELL AS HOW WE PROVIDE FOR OUR FAMILY. WHEN WE HAVE TO TAKE A VEHICLE OUT OR SERVICE BECAUSE RULES ARE BROKEN, IT HAS A DETRIMENTAL EFFECT ON OUR FAMILY’S FINANCIAL WELL-BEING. WE HAVE WORKED SO HARD TO PROVIDE RAD RIDES FOR OUR GUESTS AND WANT EVERYONE TO BE ABLE TO ENJOY OUR ISLAND IN A FUN AND SAFE VEHICLE. MAHALO!

• Can I take this vehicle off-roading?

  No off-roading whatsoever, including Polihale. As tempting as it may be in this rad ride, we strive to offer all our guests a safe driving experience while they explore our beautiful island. When a vehicle is taken off-roading it compromises the integrity and should any damage happen, we would be forced to pull our vehicle out of service. Turo is how we provide for our family and this would negatively impact our financial stability.
