Follow us on Instagram @hotelement.hawaii -- “Leave home. Stay in your element.” Ever traveled somewhere and wished you didn’t have to pay for both a place to stay AND a car rental? Always dreamed of waking up near the ocean without spending a ton of money? A Honda Element converted into a home on wheels might be your type of paradise if you’re the adventurous type. It’s simple, stylish and perfect for endless days spent surfing and exploring the island. Our Honda Element has been converted into a convenient camper that fits two! Great for couples or a solo adventurist. It features a bed platform with a 4 inch thick full size mattress, a roof rack for surfboards (ask me if you would like me to include a soft top surfboard), a yakima rooftop cargo box for extra storage, a 300 W power inverter (for charging small appliances on the road), black out curtains to keep it stealthy and private, a jug of water for rinsing off your feet, two bowls, two plates, plastic silverware, a small cooler, and a handy first-aid kit! Our newest addition is a Napier Sportz Tent Cove that attaches to the back of the vehicle. This allows for extra room and a nice breeze at night! It only takes 5 minutes to set up. (see photos) We also offer airport pick up. Just message us for details! It will just be $75 for pick up and an additional $75 for drop off.

Is it illegal to car camp in Hawaii?
There are illegal spots to sleep inside your car. Don't try to camp in neighborhoods or right off the side of the road. The spots that I've provided on the map are all places that we've camped before without a problem.
Where can we park the vehicle?
I will send you a custom Google map. Just send me your gmail and I can give you access to the map! It has all of our favorite locations. Best place to camp is definitely Maleakahana Beach Campground.

This was the best decision we’ve ever made. We had so much fun sleeping in the car on beaches and waking up to the most amazing views of the beach and ocean. HIGHLY RECOMMEND RENTING FROM TANNER.

Seriously such a cool experience! I felt like we were following a treasure map to amazing experiences while in the comfort and ease of the Hotelement. Was such a sad moment for us saying goodbye! Loved our time here, and you DEFINITELY get the best experience of Oahu this way. Tanner was so patient and helpful!
