Description

The 2017 F-Pace feels more like a sport sedan from behind the wheel than an SUV. It corners impressively flat, and nasty mid-corner bumps are greeted with a resolutely rigid body structure and a suspension that remains perfectly composed. The all-wheel-drive system sends almost all of the power rearward under most conditions, creating the advantageous capability and feel of a rear-drive vehicle when cornering. And then there's the standout steering: light and consistent in its effort, high in feedback and sharp in its responses. Up front, the F-Pace manages to blend the elevated view out expected of an SUV, with more of a low, carlike seating position. The seats themselves offer more than enough adjustability and resulting space even for taller drivers. The backseat, meanwhile, affords more legroom even when one of those taller drivers is up front. This is the top of the line F-pace and it is obvious when you see it. Black on black on black, everything from the rims to the interior is pristine. Drive in style during your stay in Hawaii and book this F-pace!

Parking details

Pick up and drop off will be at the same location. It is street parking directly in front of the two story home with this address. Vehicle will have keys inside and I can unlock the car for you if I am not available. If not, I will have my girlfriend do a walk through and inspection and give you the keys. Return the vehicle the same way and I can lock the car if you leave the keys inside or my girlfriend will be able to grab them from you.

Guidelines

PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF: 1. Please pick up and drop off the vehicle in front of the Home LOCATION, unless agreed otherwise (Please see Delivery Details). 2. Gas: Upon drop-off, the renter must return the vehicle with the same amount of PEMIUM gas as when the vehicle is delivered, or you will need to pay the difference. The renter will provide gas receipts to show that premium gas has been put in, otherwise the renter will be charged fees for us to empty the gas tank containing low-grade gas and a full tank of premium gas. OTHER GUIDELINES: 1. ABSOLUTELY NO smoking and NO pets in the vehicle!!! 2. No off roading or driving on rocky terrain. 3. No eating in the vehicle 4. No violation of Hawaii traffic laws. Any traffic citations will be charged through incidentals at the end of the trip. I will verify through eCourtsKokua if any citations have been received throughout the trip. 5. If the vehicle gets towed, I will charge a $50 fee to get it out of the tow yard, and you will have to pay for the towing fee and other fees associated with towing. 6. DO NOT clean the vehicle with any cleaning products. I will have approved sanitizers and disinfectants in the vehicle and a brand new microfiber cloth will be located in each door (total of 4) for wiping down the vehicle including the exterior handles. DO NOT use any alcohol or sanitizer on the exterior of the vehicle as it will strip the clear coating off the vehicle. Do not use alcohol of sanitizer on the leather as it will discolor and damage it. There will be approved leather and porous sanitizers and disinfectants in the vehicle. 7. DO NOT take the vehicle through a car wash as it will damage the vehicle. If you want the vehicle cleaned, call me and I will make arrangements if possible.

Faqs

  • How do you open the gas tank?

It is on the passenger side of the vehicle and you have to have the doors unlocked for it to open. You gently push on the gas door and it will push in and pop out. There is no latch or lever inside the vehicle to open it. You simply push to open and push to close.

  • Can I smoke or bring pets in the vehicle?

There is absolutely no smoking in the vehicle. There will be a fee if there is any damages or odor indicating smoking in the vehicle. Pets are not allowed in the vehicle as well.

  • Can I use a car seat/booster? Do I have to notify the owner?

Yes we always recommend using a car seat for children who need them but we ask to be notified of use. Please inform me if you will be using a car seat so I can supply you with a car seat mat to protect the leather seats. It is a protector that goes under the car seat to prevent it from digging into the leather and damaging the seats. It is very important to use this because a car seat will definitely damage the leather and it is required if anything similar to a car seat or booster chair.

  • What color is the vehicle?

The vehicle appears to be black in certain lighting and other times it looks dark grey with pigments. It is noted to be Ammonite Grey Metallic. The interior is all black leather with the added luxury interior upgrade which includes suede cloth premium headliner. Please don't attempt to clean the vehicle with car cleaners or alcohol wipes as it will damage the leather. There will always be microfiber cloths in the side of the doors and glove compartment to wipe the interior down but please only use water on the cloth if needed. It would be preferable if you could notate any spills or accidents so I can tend to it appropriately. Please return the vehicle to the same condition as when you received it.

  • Can I go to the beach, hikes, etc?

I prefer the vehicle not be taken to the beach unless the proper care is taken to protect the vehicles interior. Please do not sit on the seats if you are wet or damp or do not put a towel on the seats and sit on that when wet or damp. There are weather mats and protectors for the flooring. Please do not peel the protectants off of the carpet as it is intended to keep the flooring from being stained or dirtied. Please do not drive into muddy and rocky terrain such as certain hikes as it raises the chances of puncturing the tires and damaging the paint and undercarriage. Do not drive to Tantalus when there has been a flash flood or excessive raining as the rocks from the mountains are known to fall onto the road and damage tires and undercarriages. Do not take this vehicle to Mokelaie, Pay for sex, anywhere on the far end of Waianae and the far ends of Waialua (north shore). Those locations are popular places for sight seeing but this is not roads suitable for this vehicle. I trust that proper discretion will be used to assess the weather and environment. Please respect the vehicle and care for it as if it was your vehicle.

  • What are the drive style modes and when to use them?

Dynamic mode is the far left position that has a racing flag icon. This mode adds weight to the steering, firms up the suspension, improves throttle response and delivers quicker shifts. Normal will be the preset mode and I keep it at this mode majority of the time. Select the ECO driving mode to modify the vehicle's settings to help reduce fuel consumption and to encourage a more efficient driving style. For example, the energy consumption of the climate and comfort features is reduced and the accelerator pedal response is adjusted. The rain/ice/snow driving mode helps to enhance the vehicle's stability in low grip conditions and helps the vehicle to perform in a gentle and controlled manner, helping to avoid skidding and improve progress in adverse conditions. This mode is on the far right and has a snowflake symbol. I don't recommend using this mode ever in Hawaii.

  • What is expected regarding handling, driving and treatment of this vehicle

This is a luxury vehicle and I expect it to be treated as such. This is not a truck and it is not intended to be mishandled or overextended. This vehicle is not to be driven off roads, to hikes that DO NOT have a paved road. Further, if the roads are damaged and have excessive pot holes, do not drive the vehicle on that road. Over revving the vehicle and speeding is not acceptable. You must always obey the traffic laws which includes driving the speed limit and following all traffic indicators. Do not drive the vehicle onto boat ramps or park partially on the road with the hazard lights on. I do not eat in the car and I ask that you do not eat in the car either. If you go to the beach, do not get any sand in the vehicle whatsoever. Do not speed over speed bumps or race another vehicle. Do not FaceTime, snapchat, YouTube or film/photograph anything if you are driving unless you have the appropriate handsfree equipment as you will be cited by a police officer and it will increase your chances of getting into an accident. Do not ever drink and drive in this vehicle and always wear your seat belt.

  • Do I need to show a receipt if I put gas?

If you got through a tank of gas and have to fill up the tank, you NEED to provide proof that you put premium gas. A receipt is the easiest way to show me. If you can take a picture of the gas being pumped or a short recording that will be great. I can see the fuel level through my app and will ask for your consent to text you when I notice the gas getting low to remind you to document what kind of gas you are going to fill up the vehicle with. If a low grade gas is used, a fee will be charged through incidentals at the end of the trip based on my discretion.

  • Is this car equipped with inControl?

Yes, this vehicle is equipped with inControl which is offered through Jaguar. It contains GPS so I can see every location, turn, stop or continuous trip taken on this vehicle. It is for the protection of the renter and myself. It is a very detailed history of where the vehicle was driven and includes every detail including the speed, average speed, gas efficiency (how much gas was used based on handling/speed), distance driven, duration of the trip, etc. It shows me the Start location and end location, down to the coordinates. It also has a vehicle health report meaning it will notify me if there is a popped tire, low tire, fluid levels, gas level, etc. I can also see if the vehicle is locked and alarmed, if doors or windows are opened or closed and I can also lock or unlock the vehicle no matter where it is on the island. I can see the odometer and how much gas is in the car. I ask that the car be handled responsibly and with care. If the vehicle is returned with damages, I will refer to the trip history to identify if the vehicle was driven anywhere that could have produced those damages and will seek compensation for the damages if applicable. If you are looking for a beautiful, luxurious car that offers a blissful ride, this is the car for you. If you intend to drive this vehicle like a rental car from enterprise and take advantage of it, please find another vehicle because this car is equipped with enough technology to speak for itself.

  • Do I have to clean the car before returning?

Please DO NOT clean the vehicle before returning it. I have it detailed and only use certain cleaning products on the vehicle. I have it disinfected and thoroughly deep cleaned prior to each rental and after each rental as my son rides in the vehicle. It is an expense I am happy to pay and you don't have to worry about. That doesn't mean it's okay to make the car dirty. I still expect you to care for the car and follow all expectations including no eating, smoking or getting in the car when wet. There will be a new microfiber cloth in each door that can be used to wipe down the vehicle but please do not use any products or liquid on the cloth. If there is any products in the glove compartment or doors, that will be the only thing allowed to be used on the interior. Please don't wipe the handles down with alcohol! There will be interior cleaner cloths that you can wipe the handles down with safely and it will not damage the vehicle. However, DO NOT wipe the exterior with any product or sanitizer/alcohol/disinfectant as it will strip the outer coating of the vehicle.
