Bernard contacted me prior to arrival letting me know that the car was in the shop for a new transmission. He did offer his Ford Edge to us and we were able to get the Explorer the following afternoon. Bernard was an awesome host. He allowed us to borrow several camping items which were very helpful on our trip since we were car camping. The Explorer was making noises and I feel it still needs some mechanical attention. There were times I was unsure if it would get us through our trip because of the noises it made. I let Bernard know to take the car back in because I don’t think the transmission has been fixed properly. In fact, I was questioning myself if they did anything to the transmission. It makes weird noises when off and parked (we slept in it). Brenard is great. I’m sure he will if he hasn’t already, take the car back in for further fixes.

Car was clean and exactly as advertised. We had an issue with the tailgate opening at random times when parked. Bernard did let me know about the issue once we landed in Kalispell, but it was too late to make other arrangements.
