The car was awesome! The 4WD made it up Mauna Kea easily. I will note that the 3rd row can only comfortably seat 1 person as there is very little leg room, but it does work as a 6 seater with a little trunk and frunk space. If you’ve never driven an EV before, the big island is a bit challenging as there are no Tesla superchargers, and very very limited 50kW chargers in Hilo and Kona. You will need to download the shell or ChargePoint app and setup accounts to charge, as this model Y cannot make it around the entire island without charging. I would recommend this vehicle for shorter trips. Otherwise, it’s a fun car to drive. 5 stars!

Great car! It was on time, parked in a convenient spot, and had all the gear I rented with it. Make sure to look into where you are going to charge the car before you rent it. There were not many chargers where we were staying.
