Not a good experience and I would not rent from them again. The car details listed a USB input so we had brought USB chargers for our phones. It turns out the USB input doesn't have any of the components behind it so you're just plugging your USB into a rectangle input with nothing behind it so there is no functioning USB input. We told Anthony and his girlfriend this and we were told they cannot bring a cigarette charger to us so we would have to meet them closer to their home, so we met at Costco. Anthony's girlfriend gave us a cigarette charger in the parking lot of Costco but then while driving home I realized the charger she gave me doesn't work. I communicated this again and she told me to buy a car charger and they would reimburse me for $5. I couldn't find a charger for $5 so I ended up just buying one for this trip and eating the cost as the conversation between us was becoming unfriendly. She basically accused me of trying to make this accusation so I can get a free rental even though I never asked for any reimbursement except for them to provide me with a charger since the USB input they stated came with the car was broken. Also before this happened she asked that I communicate directly via text which I don't recommend as it's probably best for Turo to see your communication, Prior to our pickup we had also requested the $20 post cleaning fee and also to add my wife and our AuPair as drivers. These requests were denied and I later found out that they were denying us because they were confusing us for other drivers as they must list multiple cars. This mixup added additional time for us to straighten and it cost me an additional $30 because the post cleaning fee was never accepted and he later charged me $50 for cleaning. There were also random messages sent to us from them where they were obviously trying to reach someone else as they were for requests we didn't make. We had the car for 8 days with a 5 and 8 year old going to multiple beaches. We made sure to never eat in the car but there was some sand which we tried to limit so it was not clean but as my post return photos show it was not $50 in cleaning cost dirty. The car also had a computer glitch at one time which I told them about post trip just as a heads up but they seemed to think it was user error. All in all the car gets you around but I didn't have the utmost confidence in it and it does not have a usable USB port so you can't charge your phone. Communication is not good and if your experience is like ours they will confuse you for someone else. I would not rent from these guys again mostly because if something did happen (mechanical issues) to the car I'm not confident they would be able to handle it in a professional way since getting a phone charges was too difficult and it seems like (based on my experience and other reviews) they will charge you additional fees whenever possible.

Wow, Fantastic Scam review and rating!!! Beware of Guest, so much to say, as you can tell instantly, he has a lot to complain about, it tells you he is a Very Unhappy, not great full,Scam 100% artist, I’m not going to detail, my side of the experience, but he did excellent working out the story into twisting it above and beyond, I refuse to waste any more time on them. Just know, We take great pride in Turo, we have been Top Host over 2 plus years. Together we are a truly amazing experience.

The car was good. Communication was poor and could be greatly improved upon. We arrived to the car with no code info to access the car key. Host should make it clear to visitors that they will need to get a taxi from the airport in order to pick up vehicles from listed location. This is very inconvenient when traveling with elderly and children.

First time guest, upon booking your trip, be sure you are aware : address given with reservations is the Pick Up start of your trip, guested booked assumed it was going to be waiting Airport Parking, Guest is comparing Turo with all bigger car rental AGENCIES, they assumed they are owned extra given benefits, when using Turo, all my reservations, I verbally talk them thru Check In in ADVANCE, along with close communication texts, she didn’t read any texts, including text with the code for key.

Car was good but overcharged me for locking the key in the car where I’m supposed to drop it off. Expected me to leave the car unlocked. They Didn’t have a spare key to open it(who the heck rents out a car and doesn’t have spare set of keys?) and overcharged for cleaning the car when I left it the same condition it was already in. Would recommend a different car to others.
