First used in 1935, the Chevrolet Suburban is the oldest surviving nameplate in the U.S. Now in its 12th generation (2015-present), the 5.3-liter V-8 is rated at 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, and in Motor Trend testing, propelled a 5952-pound Suburban tester to 60 mph in just 7.3 seconds. Leather-appointed trim Heated front bucket seats with memory Power liftgate with programmable height Lane Departure Warning Forward Collision Alert Chevrolet MyLink Bose premium sound system Wireless Charging Few SUVs other than the Suburban has plenty of space for seven or more people, all their stuff, and towing capacity to boot. This behemoth has a sumptuous and quiet interior, power-folding second- and third-row seats, and available blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. The 2015 redesign brought a sumptuous and quiet interior, power folding second- and third row seats, as well as optional advanced safety features. It's also more fuel-efficient than previous models. Cabin finish and in-dash electronics are much improved. The interior is considerably quieter too.

The owner was very responsive to all the questions I had. One question I wished I had asked before going through with the rental was how much tread was on the tires. The vehicle appeared to be in really good shape, save for a few dings and scratches all around. Those were not a big deal at all, just be sure to take lots of pictures of those before your trip to get those documented so you're not held responsible later, just like you would with any other rental company. My only concern was when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, the tire tread was very very low, so much so that I almost cancelled the rental. However, I let the owner know about my concern and he said he would be replacing them soon. So my suggestion is if you're renting a vehicle, ask for good pictures of the tire tread and a specific number on tread depth, like 3/32 or 9/32. This will help you decide ahead of time if you want to go with this rental or not. Lastly, the rear defroster wires were disconnected from the window so if you're going to a cold weather climate you might want to ask if those have been fixed or will be fixed. The vehicle smelled like the owner was attempting to cover up a smoke smell with a very heavy scented air freshener hanging from the mirror,, even though the rules don't allow smoking. I recommend the owner have the vehicle detailed to remove the smell. The vehicle worked great, was very nice inside, and drove well on the highway. I would not hesitate to rent this vehicle again if the above items have been addressed.

Vehicle was clean and had no problems with it. Had a bit of an issue concerning the fuel level. I filled the tank up at the station around the corner from the drop off location and was told I did not fill up the truck. I recommend you take pictures after fueling to make sure you have back up that the vehicle was refueled.

Yavor's response

Thank you for your business. The vehicle was not returned with the the tank completely full. I took a picture of the dashboard shortly after the vehicle was returned which shows the fuel gauge's position. Jennifer disputed the reimbursement request but Turo ruled in my favor because I had proof. I also had to wash the vehicle but didn't charge for that.
