Please be understanding of this when renting. ⏰ Late Returns - We provide a 30-minute grace period for returning the vehicle. If you return the vehicle after this time, it will be classified as late. First and last time from the beginning of trip should’ve listened to previous reviews, car I had booked an hour before wasn’t available. Car I was given had an airbag issue sounded like it was absolutely falling apart. Would never recommend shuttles are also confusing and after hours non existent

They got us booked same day! They picked us up at the appropriate location. It would have been easier if we did not have our kids hahah!

We have always had great luck with Turo but this transaction was a disaster. We were told to take the skytrain to a station where someone would be there to pick us up. He wasn't and I had to call. When we arrived at the location it was in a very sketchy part of town and the one person handling all the customers could not find the key to our Turo. We waited for a very long time while he searched so we tried to negotiate with him by saying we would Lyft to the VRBO and he could bring the car to us as soon as he found the key. He took that as an insult and said that he absolutely would not do that and told me that I shouldn't talk to him like that. I thought we were being reasonable. He finally located the key fob after standing in the dark cold air for a very long time he backed it out and we took off. My husband noticed that there was an indication on the panel saying that the key fob was not in the car. We had to go back to the lot and the person had the fob in his pocket. Thank god we discovered that when we did. We got the car home and the very next day it was dead. We had to call AAA to jump the car and take a lyft to our tee time so that the car could run and recharge the battery. We came home drove the car but then the next day the car was dead again. We called the person at the lot and we had a very hard time getting him to arrange to have the car towed. We did not want another car from him so we had to Lyft for the rest of our trip. LA Auto Spot is a very very bad representative for Turo. We were always told that when using Turo we would be dealing with an individual person and always have until now. My feeling is Turo should not allow large companies to represent them since this is not the philosophy of their company. When ordering a Turo I believe that us as the consumer should have a right to know before we pay for it if we are dealing with a person or a company. We did contact Turo and they were mostly accomodating and arranged for us to get a full refund. I have yet to look at my bank account to see if that has happened if not Turo will be hearing from me.

The entire process was honestly a pain. First you have to take the skytrain to 44th street, then we had to wait for 20+ minutes for a van to take us to a very questionable spot where we had to wait even longer for the vehicle. That being said, the car was fine for what we needed. At times it sounded like it was gonna fall apart but it did not. Personally I would rather rent from an individual in the future. Thanks!
