I paid $70 for a tank of fuel that did not exist renter is non responsive also need to align headlights

1st time Turo user and I wish I had taken my car instead or booked with someone else. Booked in April for the July 4th holiday and my birthday weekend with my family. Trip from Charlotte to Wrightsville Beach NC. I was delivered a car packed full of disappointment. Yevgeniy sent 3 messages total to my 13 throughout the trip. I paid $40 for Turo’s pick up and drop off delivery service which is normal, but at 11:30pm the night before 8:30am delivery, I got a text asking me to pick the car up a half hour away. I paid $30 for the delivery driver’s Uber back to his place. After inspection the driver side floor mat was missing and placed torn in the trunk and the other floor mats were faded and torn. The car smelled absolutely terrible and had prior people’s trash throughout. I had to clean it and add 2 air fresheners, the second only because the first wasn’t strong enough. Drove 450 miles, 400 of it on a highway and anything over 65 mph causes a horrible train whistle-like sound. Brakes squeezed when slowing to a stop. Couldn’t wipe the windshield free of bugs and dirt because there was no windshield wiper fluid. Difficult dashboard and media controls left me and my family driving in silence with that horrendous whistling sound. I have average night sight, but the headlights were virtually non-existent, either they need immediate replacement or the tint on the windshield removed. It was nearly pitch dark driving unless the high beams were on and they got high beams sent right back at me. There was no license plate tag on the front and only a company decal and phone number on the back, causing anxiety passing every police officer. I checked for the car’s registration in the glove box and 2 were expired, I think the 3rd may have been valid, but it didn’t look like the other two registration cards. Talk about being put into a situation of uncertainty and feeling susceptible to law enforcement. I called Turo’s support center, which sounded like they answered in the middle of a cafeteria and spoke through a pillow. From what I could tell he said I just need to talk with the person who accepted my booking request. Which would be fine if they answered back promptly. The first of three Turo messages Yevgeniy sent was “Hi, sorry about that i have a new mangement company running my rentals and have had couple moments. You will be reimbursed for uber and driver will pick up car from your house”. The second of the three Turo messages Yevgeniy sent me was “send me your Venmo or Cashapp” in reply to my request to confirm receipt of message since I hadn’t received message responses to my prior 7 and to the refund I asked for the Uber… which I haven’t received because I don’t have cashapp or Venmo. The third text Yevgeniy sent was “Driver on the way” because pick up was almost 2 hours late and I said it’ll be towed at owners expense. In case you’re wondering I filled it up with diesel, took it to Sam’s car wash for a top wash with hot wax, and vacuumed it real good. I left the two air fresheners and took and remaining trash out. You’re welcome next driver. The same person who dropped off the car picked it up and it was stressful. I found out there’s miscommunication between Yevgeniy and the person who delivered the car. I believe the delivery guy is the car’s actual owner and Yevgeniy is a frontal booking rep, but none of that was made clear until the delivery guy and I had choice words that ended amicably. If it’s bad communication and misreprentation you’re looking for, then this car and Yevgeniy can help you. If that’s not what you’re looking for then look elsewhere and save yourself a whole story of disappointment!
